IHS projects cloud spending by enterprises to reach $235.1 billion by 2017.

2 - One-Stop Shop for SoftwareOne-Stop Shop for Software

Tech Data supports more than 22,000 U.S. IT resellers with software-as-a-service (Saas), platform-as-a-service (Paas) and infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) offerings via its StreamOne Solutions store.

3 - All-In for GoogleAll-In for Google

Tech Data signed an agreement with Google to distribute its Chromebook management console to solution providers in the United States, which means it now manages the distribution of Google’s full line of Chromebooks. The IT distributor also offers additional value-added services and training around the Google products for solution providers.

4 - Europe RulesEurope Rules

62% of Tech Data’s sales come from Europe and some of it will be Google dollars. Tech Data now manages the supply chain of Google’s indirect channel for its Chromecast media-streaming devices in Europe.

5 - Second ChancesSecond Chances

Tech Data introduces the SMARTattach opportunity portal to help Cisco partners take advantage of incremental revenue and other missed “second-chance” service opportunities that can add up to millions of dollars in Cisco services and software.

6 - Going MobileGoing Mobile

Tech Data formed the worldwide mobile business unit, Tech Data Mobile Solutions, which began as a joint venture between Tech Data and Brightstar Corp. Tech Data completed the full acquisition of the joint venture last year.

7 - Security Needs GrowSecurity Needs Grow

Tech Data signs an exclusive North American agreement with Good Technology to offer its mobile security systems through its Mobile Solutions business.

8 - Shelf SharingShelf Sharing

Despite the expanding Google portfolio, Tech Data is not neglecting its Microsoft partners. The IT distributor offers Microsoft reseller enablement services to help its solution providers grow their Microsoft Business. Tech Data also distributes Microsoft’s Surface Pro and Surface RT to commercial customers.

9 - Complete HW SolutionsComplete HW Solutions

Better capturing the systems/peripherals sell, Tech Data launches a Systems & Peripherals IT product division, combining its existing Client Systems and Peripherals businesses. The new group focuses on serving visual solutions, imaging and print, power and energy management, computing and consumer electronics.
