It’s hard to believe that we’re halfway through 2025, and yet here we are. Q2 had no shortage of major mergers and acquisitions (M&A) news that impacted the channel.
While the month is highlighted by one organization receiving the green light to make a significant acquisition in the networking market, other M&A moves in the month have expanded expertise, solutions, and customer bases. Let’s take a look at some of the significant maneuvers that are helping to reshape the channel landscape.
HPE moving forward with Juniper acquisition
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) can move forward with its acquisition of Juniper Networks after reaching an agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ).
HPE had initially announced plans to acquire Juniper in January 2024, but the DOJ sued to block the acquisition in January 2025.
However, HPE has reached an agreement with the DOJ to clear the way for the transaction to close as it satisfies the DOJ’s concerns while maintaining the overall value of the transaction to HPE customers, partners, and shareholders– pending court approval.
“Our agreement with the DOJ paves the way to close HPE’s acquisition of Juniper Networks and preserves the intended benefits of this deal for our customers and shareholders, while creating greater competition in the global networking market,” said Antonio Neri, president and CEO of HPE.
AppDirect acquires Broker Online Exchange
AppDirect, a B2B commerce platform, has recently acquired Broker Online Exchange (BOX), a Texas-based retail energy network, to expand and redefine how its partner network can sell, manage, and optimize the critical services their customers require.
This acquisition follows AppDirect’s moves to acquire BuiltFirst and Firstbase, while preceding an impending acquisition of vCom.
Adding BOX’s energy expertise to its catalog will allow AppDirect to further solidify its position as a marketplace and unified IT lifecycle management platform.
“Business is entering a new era where technology alone isn’t enough; it also needs the infrastructure that powers it,” said Nicolas Desmarais, AppDirect’s Chairman and CEO. “By bringing energy into our marketplace, AppDirect is setting a new standard for how businesses buy and manage the critical services they need to succeed, powered by our advisor and broker community. We believe the future belongs to companies that control the foundation, and we are proud to be the first to take this step.”
Rubrik to acquire Predibase
Enterprise-grade data protection and security solutions provider Rubrik is acquiring Predicase to accelerate the adoption of agentic AI from pilot to production at scale.
The acquisition will allow Rubrik to deliver simplicity in models and data, resulting in improved accuracy, lower costs, better performance, and automated data governance.
“We created Predibase to lift the barriers between an idea and production-ready AI. Today, many organizations still face challenges moving beyond the proof-of-concept stage,” said Devvrey Rishi, Co-founder and CEO of Predibase. “Predibase removes the hardest part of that journey and accelerates production-ready AI by giving teams an easy-to-use platform to tune models to their own data and run on an optimized inference stack. This unlocks more accurate results and faster models, all at lower cost.”
Secur-Serv to make acquisition of Arrodhead Technologies
MSP Secur-Serv is acquiring Arrowhead Technologies, a Texas-based managed IT and security services provider.
This acquisition marks the fifth add-on acquisition for the organization in roughly three years under Transom Capital Group’s ownership.
“Transom has been an invaluable partner to our business, helping to establish Secur-Serv as a standalone company and guide our expansion while significantly improving our profitability and margins,” said Cathy Pickoski, CEO of Secur-Serv. “The acquisition of Arrowhead Technologies is an exciting milestone for us, as it strengthens our geographic footprint in the Southwest U.S. and enhances our presence in compliance-driven end markets. This partnership strengthens our ability to meet the evolving needs of our clients and positions us for continued growth and excellence in the managed IT and security service space.”
Through this acquisition, Secur-Serv will expand its geographic footprint, services offered, and customer base.
IGEL acquires Stratodesk
Secure endpoint OS platform IGEL has acquired Stratodesk, a provider of endpoint OS software and management solutions to expand IGEL’s customer base and accelerate its mission to improve organizations’ endpoint modernization strategies.
“This acquisition reflects IGEL’s continued momentum in the endpoint OS Platform market,” said Klaus Oestermann, CEO at IGEL. “Stratodesk customers will benefit from the industry’s most secure client OS, endpoint management solution, and our Adaptive Secure Desktop, significantly enhancing their endpoint security, resilience, and cost efficiency.”
The features that Stratodesk customers will now have access to include deep integrations with Microsoft, as well as security, SaaS, and identity vendors.
“The main focus [is] the tech and sales leaders being integrated into the IGEL teams and will have a key responsibility in dealing with the Stratodesk customers and working with them– the same on the channel side,” said Oestermann.
NETGEAR acquires Exium
NETGEAR, a networking solutions provider, announced the acquisition of cybersecurity company Exium, further building on its delivery of next-generation networking solutions to provide simplicity, reliability, and cost-effectiveness to small- and medium-sized enterprises.
“AI has changed the threat landscape for small and medium enterprises as well as larger businesses, but the solutions for SMEs are often too difficult to implement or need to be cobbled onto the network and managed separately,” said Pramod Badjate, President and GM of NETGEAR for Business. “By offering the Exium SASE solution with the goal of integrating it into our Insight cloud management platform, we’ll be able to bring our customers a seamless, single-pane-of-glass solution that is easily deployed and managed by small IT teams or MSPs.”
Through this acquisition, Exium’s products and expertise will help to add an integrated Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) platform to NETGEAR’s network offering. The Exium team will also bring deep expertise in building widely deployed networking and security solutions.
Snyk acquires Invariant Labs
Snyk, a secure AI software development organization, recently announced an acquisition of Invariant Labs, an AI security research firm, to boost its AI security delivery through its AI Trust Platform.
The acquisition will bring over a team of researchers with a proven track record of industry-first intelligence on agentic attack vectors, MCP vulnerabilities, tool poisoning, and runtime detection techniques. Further, Invariant Labs will help Snyk customers secure next-gen AI-native and agentic applications, including large language models (LLMs) and autonomous agents.
“This acquisition is an important integration into Snyk’s recently launched AI Trust Platform that adds the ability to secure applications from emergent threats,” said Peter McKay, CEO of Snyk. “Snyk can now offer customers a single platform to address both current application and agentic AI vulnerabilities.”
Bitdefender acquires Mesh Security
Cybersecurity leader Bitdefender has expanded its email security capabilities by acquiring Mesh Security Limited.
Mesh provides advanced email security solutions, which will now be integrated into Bitdefender’s Extended Detection and Response (XDR) platform and Managed Detection and Response (MDR) services.
Further, Mesh’s email security capabilities will integrate into Bitdefender GravityZone, a unified security, compliance, and risk analytics platform.
“We are pleased to announce our intent to acquire Mesh, a strategic move that will complement our GravityZone XDR platform and power our MDR service to help businesses combat email-borne threats as they continue to evolve,” said Andrei Florescu, president and general manager of Bitdefender Business Solutions Group. “Mesh brings leading-edge innovation from a deeply experienced team that shares our commitment to effective, real-world security. Together, we will further strengthen our ability to provide proven and trusted email protection to our global customer base.”

Through this acquisition, Integris will expand its innovative solutions and services that drive digital maturity for small- to mid-sized businesses.
“Every acquisition we make is a strategic step toward our vision of transforming Integris into a smarter, faster, and more transformative digital powerhouse,” said Glenn Mathis, newly appointed CEO, and previous president and COO, of Integris. “By bringing like-minded teams and capabilities into the Integris family, we’re not just expanding our footprint– we’re deepening our ability to elevate the customer experience.
