A cybersecurity startup based in the UK aims to mitigate the growing financial and reputational risks associated with breaches and attacks.

New platform offering promises deeper protection from ransomware and breaches

Firevault announced its launch this week in the UK and globally. The company’s founders state that they were spurred to action after witnessing several high-profile breaches and ransomware events that damaged the reputation and operational strength of respected organizations.

The company claims to have created the world’s “first secured offline platform,” promising to reduce risk and post-attack costs by disconnecting critical data, thereby removing the point of exposure to potential threat actors.

Those costs are rising constantly, and many organizations remain concerned that they would not be able to recover financially from an attack. IBM data referenced by Firevault shows the following average cost by region:

  • In the UK, average costs per breach are £3.29 million
  • In the US, that figure is $10.22 million
  • Middle East-based companies face an average cost of SAR 27 million

Solutions now available from Firevault include:

  • Vault: A secure offline digital vault for directors, shareholders, HNWIs, and professionals. The solution protects board papers, contracts, financial records, identity documents, investments, IP, and archives. It is Identity-locked to one verified owner and available in 2TB, 4TB, and 8TB models from £360/month. It also includes Backup Vault and Vault Buddy for continuity.
  • Storage: A scalable, secure offline data storage system delivered through the Firevault platform for enterprises and industries. The solution keeps “crown-jewel,” commercial, and customer data disconnected and unreachable. Acts as the “0” in the 3-2-1-0 model, delivering risk reduction and 30%+ OPEX savings compared with connected systems.
  • Platform (FV-PaaS): An offline-first platform with nine offline modules that enables governments, enterprises, and critical infrastructure operators to deploy sovereign-grade resilience across multiple sites and geographies.

“Too many good businesses are being dragged under by breaches they could have avoided,” said Mark Fermor, Firevault director and co-founder, in a statement. “Firevault gives directors and operators certainty and control. If it’s offline and disconnected, it can’t be scanned, stolen, or ransomed.”

The channel angle: Firevault commits to enabling MSPs and resellers as they seek new revenue streams

Firevault is also fully committing to channel sales at launch, with a partner program already in place to offer margin structures and enablement. The company emphasizes the importance of security to organizations worldwide, as well as the revenue opportunities available by leveraging and servicing Firevault solutions, as key reasons for partners to reach out.

“For the channel, Firevault is designed as an enabler,” said co-founder David Bailey in a statement. “Partners can adopt it internally, resell it externally, and build services around it. That means more value to clients and more commercial opportunity to the channel.”

Those wrap-around services, Firevault says, include existing security offerings and compliance-focused programs.

The company’s announcement lays out the following as key reasons for partners to consider Firevault:

  • Recurring revenue: Firevault’s subscription model makes it simple to bundle into managed service contracts.
  • Margin opportunity: Partners can wrap services, consultancy, and compliance support around Firevault, boosting profitability.
  • Differentiation: Fills the offline gap in the 3-2-1-0 model, offering something competitors cannot.
  • Service expansion: Integrates with existing security, compliance, and resilience offerings.
  • Customer retention: Builds long-term trust by giving clients evidence of protection, not just monitoring dashboards.

The solutions are now available for demo and purchase.
