Cyberhaven has announced the general availability of its Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) solution, expanding its unified AI and data security platform to address how sensitive information now moves across endpoints, cloud services, SaaS applications, on-prem systems, and generative AI workflows.

Platform promises to address the security risks posed by AI collaboration tools

The vendor says its platform is designed to help security teams track, understand, and control fragmented data as organizations adopt AI-driven collaboration tools that have effectively erased the traditional file perimeter.

For managed service providers (MSPs) and IT channel partners, the launch underscores a growing market shift: customers increasingly want consolidated data security platforms that can support AI adoption without adding operational complexity or multiple point products.

Moving beyond cloud-only DSPM: why Cyberhaven includes IRM and DLP in one architecture

Cyberhaven positions its DSPM as fundamentally different from standalone tools that focus narrowly on cloud storage. Instead, the platform combines DSPM with data loss prevention (DLP), insider risk management (IRM), and AI security under a single architecture.

According to the company, this unified approach gives organizations visibility into where sensitive data originates, how it moves between systems, and where it is ultimately exposed—critical capabilities as data is increasingly copied, summarized, and reused by generative AI systems.

“Because of fragmented data, security teams can no longer rely on point tools that see only part of the picture,” said Nishant Doshi, CEO of Cyberhaven. “As data moves in fragments, snippets, and derivatives that evade traditional controls like tags and labels, organizations need a solution that follows data wherever it lives and goes.”

Data lineage and agentic AI at the core

At the center of the platform is Cyberhaven’s data lineage technology, which captures how information flows across cloud applications, endpoints, and on-prem environments. This context feeds AI-driven classification models designed to reduce false positives and focus security teams on meaningful risk.

Agentic AI capabilities then use that lineage to detect risky data flows, investigate incidents, and guide remediation steps, the company said, without interrupting user workflows.

“Cyberhaven’s vision for a unified data security platform is far superior to standalone DLP and DSPM tools,” said Dan Walsh, chief information security officer at Datavant.

“A single architecture makes it possible to continuously assess data risk without stitching together multiple systems. By bringing data lineage, AI-driven classification, and agentic AI controls together, Cyberhaven enables security teams to protect sensitive data without slowing the business down,” Walsh continued.

Industry customers highlighted the operational value of a unified design.

“What immediately struck me was the model for depicting classes or groups of data. Visually, the bubble chart… looked very similar to how I typically see data,” said Raghu Valipireddy, SVP and chief information security officer at Axos Financial. “That familiarity made it easy for me to translate what I was looking at.”

Why this matters for MSPs and channel partners

For MSPs and solution providers, Cyberhaven’s announcement reflects broader customer demand for simplified security stacks as AI adoption accelerates.

Many midmarket and enterprise organizations lack the internal expertise to manage separate DSPM, DLP, and insider risk tools, creating opportunities for partners to deliver bundled managed services built on unified platforms.

Cyberhaven also introduced new customer experience offerings, including Turnkey Services, an Insider Threat Intelligence Service, and expanded analyst support.

These services could enable partners to accelerate deployments and offer higher-margin advisory services tied to data governance and AI risk.

The launch follows Cyberhaven’s participation in the newly formed AI & Data Security Collective, signaling the vendor’s intent to shape best practices around AI-era data protection.
