Appdome, a provider of AI-native protection for the mobile business, made a series of agentic AI-related announcements recently to curb mobile threats and fraud.

Agentic AI for real-time mobile threat response

Among the announcements is the launch of Support Agent, an upgrade from its previous agentic AI agent, designed to support end users facing threats, malware, and fraud when using mobile applications.

Support Agent is a tool built for mobile brands and mobile support teams, and it integrates with mobile applications. It provides detailed instructions for remediation of on-device threats within a conversational model that allows users to interact with the agent in real time.

“Cybersecurity, fraud, and network teams can’t simply detect and prevent attacks; they have to address the end user impact and maintain real users as a part of the business,” said Tom Tovar, CEO and co-creator at Appdome. “Support Agent connects the power of a fully aware Agentic AI system to a specific threat on an end user’s device and allows users to interact with the agent to understand and remove the threat fast.”

Support Agent is designed to address malware, trojans, device risks, and other threats that impact Android and iOS users.

Resolving threats faster with digital workflows

The solution replaces manual work and puts digital workflows in the hands of mobile support teams and support chatbots offered inside the mobile app experience to resolve threats in real time.

Appdome generates a unique ThreatCode for each attack as threats arise in the mobile app lifecycle.

“Support Agent combines Appdome’s threat data with Agentic AI reasoning to help mobile end users get rid of threats the moment they are discovered,” said Chris Roeckl, chief product officer at Appdome. “The instructions that Support Agent provides are tailor made to fit the specific attack scenario occurring on the user’s device, including the device type, OS version, attack source, and steps the user can follow.”

The four key benefits Support Agent provides include:

  • Rapid threat identification: All threats are identified and explained so that users understand the risk posed by each threat.
  • Detailed threat discovery: Guided discovery on how to find each threat on the end user’s device, starting from the easiest to the most challenging techniques.
  • Precise threat removal: Step-by-step instructions on disabling or removing the threat from the end-user’s device, with instructions fit to the specific device and OS used by each user.
  • Time saved: Mobile support teams and end users save hours researching threats or guessing how to resolve any threat.

An agentic AI SecOps agent for mobile fraud and cyber threats

Another release from AppDome includes the SecOps Agent, which autonomously monitors, evaluates, reasons, and reports on mobile threats and interacts with multiple enterprise stakeholders in real time.

The agent brings agentic AI’s intelligence and open-ended discovery to cyber, fraud, and risk teams by combining Appdome’s vast threat data streams with agentic AI’s autonomous reasoning and conversational interface to empower teams to explore, understand, and resolve mobile attacks quickly.

“Appdome already has the biggest data set in mobile fraud and cyberthreats,” said Tom Tovar, CEO and co-creator at Appdome. “SecOps Agent brings agentic AI learning inside billions of threat signals, allowing it to slice and dice the threat data in seconds, answer questions from any stakeholder, and independently prompt stakeholders with new discoveries and insights in real time.”

SecOps Agent utilizes continuous learning models to understand all threats mobile applications, users, and businesses face.

Further, it is aware of the defense posture for each mobile app, build-by-build and release-by-release, including which threats are being monitored, mitigated, or blocked outright, either in the app or in the application backend.

“Cyber and fraud teams are replacing manual work with digital workflows to stay ahead of the mobile attack surface,” said Gil Hartman, Field CTO at Appdome. “SecOps Agent gives mobile brands the power of AI to overcome knowledge and skill gaps, simultaneously learn from and evaluate the threat data from the mobile business, and use that knowledge to stop fraud, ATOs, API threats, and more in real time.”

SecOps Agent runs entirely within Appdome’s enterprise-grade environment, ensuring that no data is sent to public AI models.

A unified AI security suite for mobile enterprises

Lastly, Appdome announced that it would be launching an agentic AI suite for combatting fraud, account takeovers, API, and security threats in the mobile business.

The suite is composed of five AI agents that deliver a conversational intelligence platform tailored for cybersecurity and anti-fraud functions in a mobile enterprise. The AI agents are delivered within a secure social enterprise framework that enables multiple stakeholders to leverage AI simultaneously and collaborate on the security posture of an enterprise.

Among the five agents are the previously mentioned Support Agent and SecOps Agent. Other planned agents include DevOps Agent, Defense Posture Management (DPM) Agent, and Threat Research Agent.

“Mobile businesses will need a variety of agentic AI teammates to combat fraud and other cyber threats,” said Tovar. “Agentic AI provides faster learning, reasoning, and decision-making across large datasets, and Appdome is the only platform on the planet with enough threat data, context, and awareness to make agentic AI relevant to cyber defense.”

The intelligence suite is built on the Appdome platform, a centralized cloud service that uses AI to create and monitor defenses in mobile apps.

Agents will access a decade’s worth of event and mobile app data to provide insights and recommendations

Appdome’s new AI agents have access to a decade of mobile defense and build data, trillions of live threat events from billions of mobile app installations across the globe, and deep learning models to provide detailed insights, remediations, and recommendations for each mobile business.

The Appdome AI agents augment cyber, anti-fraud, and network teams, delivering autonomous reasoning through an “ask me anything” interaction model for all users. Once each agent is turned on, they use a variety of agentic AI models to sift through, analyze, and evaluate mobile and threat data relevant to the mobile business. The models gather continuous updates from Appdome’s data pipeline as well, and use that data to reason, collaborate, and interact autonomously with the mobile team.

“Everyone has access to ChatGPT and generic copilots,” said Avi Yehuda, CTO and co-creator at Appdome. “What these generic AI tools lack is the mobile data, defense context, and threat awareness that’s specific to each business. Appdome’s AI agents connect the dots between agentic AI, mobile, and threat data to allow AI to go beyond generic answers. Our answers, insights, and recommendations are on-point for what each business needs.”

According to Appdome, the suite enables cyber teams to reduce mean time to respond by up to 90 percent through reduced investigation time, reduced analyst load, and faster implementation via Appdome’s “click to defend” deployment model.

To rapidly disseminate agentic AI learning across the organization, Appdome has added the ability to like, comment, tag users, and share alerts, discoveries, recommendations, and insights from agents with others in the same organization.

“Active collaboration on what defenses to deploy, in what configuration, is already happening,” said Hartman. “Mobile brands are telling us that doing so via email and Teams channels isn’t enough. They want to use Appdome as a collaboration tool internally, allowing cross-functional teams to protect the mobile business from fraud, account takeovers, and cyber risks at scale.”
