AI-powered technology solutions provider NWN has announced the launch of NWN Cybersecurity, an AI-enabled managed security operations suite.

NWN Experience Management Platform gains advanced integrations with Palo Alto, Cisco, and Arctic Wolf

The new suite introduces new managed services, delivers new platform integrations through NWN’s patented Experience Management Platform (EMP), and expands strategic partnerships with Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, and Arctic Wolf.

It is designed to help organizations modernize security operations and drive innovation.

“The AI era has changed the speed and complexity of cyber risk,” said Jim Sullivan, President & CEO of NWN. “Organizations don’t just need more security tools – they need a new approach to managed security services that turns modern security platforms into real outcomes. With this launch, NWN is expanding our managed security operations capabilities, deepening strategic partnerships with industry leaders, and integrating more of the security stack into EMP to help customers reduce complexity, improve resilience, and respond faster.”

Why NWN embeds security across enterprise offerings

In an interview with Channel Insider, Sullivan explained that having security designed into every offering has been a key facet of NWN’s business over the past couple of years and that security is the fastest-growing market in IT due to AI-powered threats.

“We have 6,000 customers, predominantly enterprise accounts and a lot of state, local, and higher education in there as well – and one of the top demands due to the marketplace and cyber threats is the need to have security everywhere,” said Sullivan.

The new solution operationalizes security platforms into a single, accountable managed service model and launches with three clear areas of innovation and expansion, including:

  • Managed Detection & Response (MDR): NWN fully-managed NDR combines cyber technology with human expertise to deliver 24/7 protection that continuously detects, mitigates, and resolves cyber attacks and security threats.
  • Offensive Security: NWN fully-managed Penetration Testing as-a-Service platform that continuously tests critical infrastructure for vulnerabilities as well as calculates financial impact and risk models in real-time.
  • Ransomware Protection as-a-Service: Rapid detection, triaging, and recovery from ransomware attacks before they cause financial and reputational harm to an organization with proven and trusted ransomware protection services designed for modern hybrid infrastructure environments.
  • Strategic Security Consulting: NWN Cybersecurity experts can be leveraged for comprehensive assessments that identify vulnerabilities and architect secure, sustainable, and scalable pathways for security operations modernization.

According to NWN CMO Andrew Gilman, NWN’s new vCISO service provides “new strategic security consulting capabilities to help our customers and augment their leadership capabilities in the CISO realm, preparing them for what’s next while continuing to help them operate at scale.”

EMP platform integration improves security visibility

EMP is a unified platform for AI-powered managed services that provides full visibility, centralized control, and co-managed operations.

It sits at the core of NWN Cybersecurity and leverages automation and proactive monitoring to reduce resolution times and improve operational efficiency.

NWN is extending EMP’s role as an operational control plane by integrating security telemetry and workflows into a standardized, actionable view.

“You have a customer, they have a network, they have connectivity, they have unified communications, and multiple security platforms are embedded to drive the solution from an endpoint firewall out to an MDR type of service,” Sullivan said.

“So we integrated all of that into EMP, so a customer has one pane of glass and one service provider that’s tracking all of these environments, but also managing everything around security requirements for them.”

Why NWN selected partners based on customer needs

In building on their strategic partnerships with Arctic Wolf, Cisco, and Palo Alto Networks, Sullivan said that they started from the customer perspective.

When NWN is building an offering, it’s about product-market fit to solve a customer problem, and when it comes to working with partners, they need the right capabilities.

“Ultimately, it is about teamwork, collaboration, and all about the customer,” said Sullivan. “And so these are all companies that are world-class on either partnering or customer-driven outcomes.”

How Arctic Wolf uses partnerships to scale cybersecurity

Arctic Wolf President of Technology and Services Dan Schiappa told Channel Insider that Arctic Wolf always considers partners before starting a new program, and how partners can help execute and work with them on the program.

“Whenever we have a new program that we’re kicking around, we will share it with the partner advisory council, and they span all different types of partners we have, from nationals to hyperlocal to MSPs, and we typically get their feedback,” said Schiappa.

“Then we’ll expand getting feedback to some of our other key partners before we engage in the full program and then even after we engage in the full program, we have a whole bunch of enablement activities we put in place for them to understand the program, get up to speed, learn how to sell it, and share it with the customer base that they have and any new expansion of their customer base.”

NWN is also a launch partner for the Arctic Wolf Aurora Superintelligence Platform, designed to accelerate AI adoption in cybersecurity.

“With the superintelligence platform, we are putting forward a roadmap to directly integrate their capabilities into our experience management platform,” said Gilman.

“Bringing in superintelligence on both our platform and through the work that Dan and his team are doing with us to get faster time to remediation, better uptime, and leveraging all the new AI-enabled technologies built on decades of information that the Arctic Wolf platform – before it was super intelligent – was able to provide in a deterministic way, which is really powerful.”
