Networking and security as a service provider GTT is tackling increasingly complex challenges across technologies and verticals with an innovative platform experience and a commitment to building a strong global ecosystem. Channel Insider spoke with GTT SVP of Channel and Partner Program, Americas Sara Seegers to learn more about how the company is approaching this year and beyond.

Envision platform driving services value throughout the GTT ecosystem

GTT’s Envision platform is proprietary technology that the company says vastly simplifies the end-to-end experience its customers have when purchasing and implementing solutions.

“We’re a tier one global IT backbone, and our customers receive one platform, one provider, and ultimately one experience,” Seegers said.

Envision is built on a global IP backbone, streamlining how multinational enterprises receive and operate networking services. The platform, like others in the space, boasts a “single pane of glass” visibility experience for customers (and partners) to view, consume, engage, and manage all of their data and inputs across security and networking tooling.

Because everything is available through one platform experience, everything from invoicing to the application of security and compliance policies remains in one location, too. Seegers says as organizations continue to see tech become more complex, simplicity and ease of use are more important than ever.

“We take great pride in being so efficient,” Seegers said. “Everyone talks about tech like AI, but people need to define what that means. Security is a given at this point, for most partners and customers, and things like voice and networking as a service aren’t going anywhere. Envision is an orchestrator platform to optimize everything.”

Looking ahead to the rest of this year, Seeger also says GTT and its ecosystem are focused on enabling customer success on the edge, as well as solving for added complexities driven by cloud adoption and data management. The Envision platform will also continue to innovate what automated experience can provide for customers in terms of predictive analytics and insights.

Why Seegers sees the channel as crucial to GTT’s success

Seegers is no stranger to the IT channel, spending over 20 years in the space. Prior to taking the role at GTT late last year, she served as the national vice president of the indirect partner channel at Lumen.

At GTT, she’s committed to realizing joint success with partners and says how the company approaches the needs of these partners is paramount.

“We are a partner-obsessed organization,” Seegers said. “I’m focused on how we can help partners win faster and how we can form relationships for life, and not just for that first deal.”

“Real magic happens when we can accomplish outcomes together with our partners. I know how crucial trust is in our industry, and we are focused on the lifecycle of deals, not just getting the first touch. Our partners can expect transparency and a commitment from us that they’re experience will be consistent for years, not just the first engagement.”

When GTT appointed Seegers to her role in December, the company stated it was committed to investing further in the channel experience for its partners. In January, channel veteran Chris Jones joined as national VP of the Americas partner channel. Seegers is focused on TSDs, IT consultants, selling partners, and others. Jones, according to a press release issued by the company, is focused on partner relationships and enablement within the advisory channel.

According to Seegers, GTT is committed to building success alongside its partners, realizing that partners often act as the trusted advisors to end user customers and can often highlight gaps and needs that convert into long-term deals.
