Westcon-Comstor has signed a new distribution agreement with Networking-as-a-Service (NaaS) specialist Meter, becoming the vendor’s first distributor in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).

The move brings Meter’s full-stack, subscription-based networking platform to Westcon’s regional channel ecosystem, positioning partners to tap into growing demand for consumption-based networking without the need for additional upfront investment.

Expanding NaaS opportunity in EMEA

Under the agreement, Westcon will add Meter to its networking vendor portfolio, enabling partners to pursue budget-constrained opportunities and generate recurring, margin-rich revenue streams in the expanding NaaS market.

“Meter offers a fresh, simple and profitable approach to networking that directly addresses the needs of partners, while adding a new dimension to our networking vendor portfolio,” said Daniel Hurel, senior vice president of Westcon EMEA go-to-market at Westcon-Comstor.

“This is a true utility network model, perfect for the channel. The combination of Meter’s innovative technology and our value-added distribution capabilities will unlock growth potential for our partners across the entire EMEA region, enabling us to drive partner success in underserved markets,” Hurel continued.

Meter, founded in California in 2015, delivers a vertically integrated networking solution that bundles hardware, software, and managed services into a single subscription.

Its pricing model is based on a customer’s site size rather than per-device counts, offering predictable, scalable costs while eliminating capital expenditures.

The platform runs on a single operating system across switching, Wi-Fi, unified security, and power, targeting distributed enterprise environments such as retail, logistics, and higher education.

The service also includes co-managed deployment, ongoing support, and lifecycle upgrades, designed to reduce operational complexity for both partners and end customers.

Driving partner enablement and lifecycle support

Westcon-Comstor said it will scale adoption of Meter’s NaaS solution through its value-added distribution model, including training, education, data-led insights, and lifecycle management services.

That scale is why Meter ultimately signed its first EMEA deal with the specialty distributor.

“We are excited to bring our enterprise networking offering to the EMEA channel through our agreement with Westcon-Comstor,” said Adam Ulfers, head of sales and channel at Meter.

“Their channel reach, networking expertise, and data-driven approach make them the ideal distribution partner to help us scale our presence and deliver our vision of simpler, more secure, and more scalable networking to businesses across the region,” Ulfers continued.

For channel partners, the agreement signals further distributor investment in subscription-led infrastructure models, as NaaS continues to reshape enterprise networking consumption patterns.
