Spyware and security vendor Webroot Software plans to make it easier for system builders to include its software.

The Boulder, Colo., company announced April 17 its Webroot System Builder Program that will allow system builders to buy licenses in bulk from distributor Ingram Micro for desktop and notebook systems rather than one-by-one.

The software vendor said the new program will provide for volume discounts and greater efficiency.

“Webroot understands the challenges system builders face and has designed a way to deliver complete Internet security solutions in a more efficient manner rather than requiring us to buy products one at a time,” said Joe Gregory, service and repair supervisor, ARRC Technology, a system builder based in Bakersfield, Calif., in a statement. “This saves us significant time and money and allows us to provide complete, cost-effective solutions to our customers.”

The program lets system builders purchase 30 or 100 packs of Webroot Spy Sweeper software, Webroot Spy Sweeper with AntiVirus software and Webroot Window Washer software through Ingram Micro, the software vendor’s primary distributor.

The Webroot System Builder Program also offers competitive discounts and financial incentives, quick and easy ordering via bulk packs or electronic key codes, and NFR licenses, the company said.

System builders can buy physical products for one-year licenses or electronic products for one-, two- or three-year licenses.
