Global IT consulting partner Valiantys has announced a new governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) service that combines HYCU, Lansweeper, and Appfire solutions. The new offering is in response to the upcoming Digital Operational Resiliency Act (DORA), though the Valiantys team plans to take this service and build capabilities for various regulatory frameworks in 2025.

Preparing for and managing compliance: complex tasks simplified through the IT channel

DORA will go into full effect in January, leaving organizations across Europe with only a few more weeks to address their compliance needs. Valiantys focuses heavily on the financial services vertical and saw how difficult it was for its clients to prepare and execute tasks that would address regulatory needs.

As a top Atlassian partner, Valiantys had extensive experience with Jira service management and other organizational support. They had previously built relationships with HYCU, Lansweeper, and Appfire and soon began working with all three vendors to create a unique service with wraparound support from Valiantys.

The integrated unified management system includes asset discovery, backup, testing, and documentation management. With one single source of truth for DORA readiness, key features include:

  • Automated asset discovery and visualization of as-a-service applications
  • Automated data protection and offsite data recovery for over 80 ICTs (Information and Communication Technologies), with continuous expansion
  • One-click resilience testing capabilities
  • DORA-focused dashboards, notifications, and insights

“We’re proud to contribute our data protection expertise to this innovative GRC solution. Our partnership with Valiantys, Appfire, and Lansweeper allows us to offer customers a seamless, integrated approach to meeting DORA’s stringent requirements,” said Subbiah Sundaram, SVP of Product at HYCU.

Lansweeper offers an asset discovery and management solution and provides the entire discovery model to manage all relevant data sources in an organization. Appfire is the application behind the dashboard and document management creation, and HYCU offers a data protection solution that addresses many of the core requirements within DORA.

“As the regulatory landscape becomes more stringent and complex, organizations have a responsibility to work together to help customers navigate these emerging regulations. Collaborating with Valiantys, Lansweeper, and HYCU allows us to leverage each partner’s unique expertise to help organizations meet and adhere to the complex compliance requirements posed by DORA,” said Doug Kersten, CISO of Appfire. “Together, we’re helping customers navigate the complexities of third-party risk management and operational adaptability in a highly competitive technology ecosystem where security and compliance are no longer optional.”

“We’re excited to partner with Valiantys, Appfire, and HYCU to introduce a solution built for Atlassian Cloud that empowers organizations with deeper insights, streamlined asset management through Jira Service Management, and enhanced business resilience,” said Maarten Saeys, CPO of Lansweeper. “This collaboration underscores our dedication to driving innovation, ensuring that businesses are not only equipped to navigate today’s increasingly complex regulatory environment but are also positioned for long-term success in the face of future challenges.”

Service shows the future is in partnership and combined offerings

In a press briefing with Channel Insider ahead of the launch of the service, leaders from HYCU and Valiantys highlighted the importance of the channel in bringing best-fit solutions to clients and then tailoring those solutions to the individual needs of organizations in financial services and other verticals.

This comes at a time when regulations such as DORA are catching up to a largely unregulated third-party data ecosystem built on an explosion of SaaS application adoption that doesn’t always grow alongside operational visibility, as noted in HYCU’s State of SaaS Resilience in 2024 report.

This means channel partners are only becoming more important to organizations that depend on them for daily IT tasks and more extensive and complex operational needs, including compliance programs. This GRC service is one of several ways Valiantys is addressing this growing demand and capitalizing on the opportunities it presents.

“At Valiantys, we are committed to delivering future-driven innovation, and this new solution, developed in close partnership with Lansweeper, HYCU, and Appfire, is a testament to that vision,” said Chief Solutions Officer of Valiantys Nathan Chantrenne. “By integrating advanced compliance management capabilities into Jira Service Management, we are enabling organizations to embrace a more resilient, streamlined approach to regulatory challenges. This solution is key to our broader strategy of expanding solution development on JSM, empowering companies to achieve organization-wide transformation and ensuring they are equipped to meet both current and future demands.”

While DORA takes center stage in the EU, recent changes to CMMC in the United States are also a key focus for many partners. Read our guide to CMMC compliance to learn more about what you and your clients should know about the framework.
