Hume, whose leadership has reshaped the company, will continue to serve on the board of directors to ensure a smooth handover. This transition signifies the end of a significant growth era under Hume’s executive direction, ushering in a new chapter with Zammit at the helm.

Rich Hume’s transformative tenure

Reflecting on his career, he said, “It has been the greatest privilege of my professional career to serve as CEO of TD SYNNEX. I am proud of the culture we have built, our partner-first focus, and commitment to customer excellence, and the purpose-driven approach we have taken in our business.”

Commenting on the selection of Patrick Zammit as his successor, he said, “In this dynamic and ever-changing technology landscape, Patrick is the right leader to build on this foundation as we continue to deliver value to our customers and vendors across the ecosystem. Patrick Zammit’s vision for the future

Patrick Zammit, who has been with the company since it acquired Avnet in 2017, is set to bring his extensive experience and vision to his new role as CEO. Serving as COO since January 2024, Zammit has driven the company’s business strategy and accelerated the adoption of high-growth technologies globally. His leadership and operational excellence have been instrumental in accelerating the company’s profitable growth.

Expressing enthusiasm for his new role, he said, “I am honored to succeed Rich and lead TD SYNNEX into its next chapter. I look forward to building on the strong foundation we have established and driving forward our strategy and digitization roadmap to ensure we are constantly delivering the greatest value to our co-workers, partners, vendors, and shareholders.”
