Pax8, a prominent provider of cloud solutions, has named Nick Heddy as president and chief commerce officer (CCO). In his new role, Heddy assumes responsibility for guiding global sales, marketing, and community initiatives while collaborating with CEO Scott Chasin on the company’s strategic initiatives. His appointment follows the significant contributions he has made to expanding the company’s global footprint and leading its strategic acquisitions.

After joining Pax8 as director of sales in 2013, Heddy progressed through various roles before assuming the positions of chief revenue officer and chief commerce officer. His major initiatives included establishing partner, vendor, and customer experience teams for cohesive stakeholder engagement.

Driving the company’s vision into the next era

Expressing confidence in Heddy’s leadership strength, Chasin noted, “I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside Nick for the past few years, witnessing how he leads with passion and approaches situations methodically.” He also emphasized Heddy’s strategic vision for Pax8’s continued success, “As we prepare for Pax8’s next era, I’m confident Nick has the talent and ability to strengthen the organization and drive its vision forward effectively.”

In response to his appointment, Heddy said, “I’m honored and humbled to be named President and Chief Commerce Officer of this incredible company.” Highlighting Pax8’s milestones over his 11-year tenure and his excitement about the future, he added, “Since joining Pax8 over 11 years ago, I’ve been fortunate to hold various leadership positions and help reach many milestones. As I look to the future and have the privilege to work for a company led by Scott Chasin, I’m excited for the opportunities ahead and what we’ll achieve next.”

Building on momentum: Prior leadership announcements

Heddy’s appointment follows two key leadership transitions within Pax8. Last month, founder and CEO John Street stepped back, and Chasin, formerly chief technology officer, assumed the CEO role. Chasin’s experience, particularly as chief technology officer (CTO) at Pax8 and streaming platform DREAMSTAGE Inc., highlights his ability to take the company forward, with Street’s transition to chairman of the board ensuring operational continuity.

Charting a new course: Impact on the ecosystem

The impact of the company’s recent leadership changes extends beyond Pax8, resonating throughout the broader IT channel. Managed service providers and resellers can expect a smooth transition as the company continues to create a gateway to revenue diversification and market penetration for its 9,000 partner organizations.
