CloudBrink has been chosen by NEC Networks & Systems Integration Corporation (NESIC), a Japanese multinational corporation specializing in telecommunications equipment, to use its SASE service as the foundation of NESIC’s Virtual Trusted Overlay Network (VTON).
VTON brings new capabilities to networking and connectivity
The VTON is a new network concept that enables a secure and high-speed co-creation network environment utilizing Cloudbrink’s ultra-low-latency global edge mesh. The platform offers automated routing and acceleration, improving traffic performance and user experience. NESIC also integrates other services, including end-point security and identity management, enabling accelerated connectivity and security to be brought together in a fully managed service.
Additionally, NESIC will provide additional operation and maintenance services to support enterprises in managing their networks and security.
“Cloudbrink and NESIC together will redefine the way security and networking is done for enterprise with this new virtual trusted overlay network,” said the CEO of Cloudbrink, Prakash Mana during a virtual press briefing. “Cloudbrink’s personal SASE solution combines the power of speed– over 30x faster than what customers have traditionally experienced– a security that changes that unprecedented pace, and simplicity that is next to none.”
Partnership based on performance and advanced functionality
According to Cloudbrink and NESIC, the key to the VTON is the ability to deliver ultra-high-performance secure network access. Routing and advanced security functions are provided by a global network of virtual PoPs, called FAST edges, which use AI to locate the closest access point—typically less than 10ms away.
NESIC chose Cloudbrink for its performance, integrated security, and ease of deployment and management. Additionally, it was willing to collaborate on the development of the NESIC service.
“Our partnership with Cloudbrink began over a year ago, and we have successfully introduced their award-winning service to businesses in the Japanese market,” said Osamu Kikuchi, Senior Vice President of NESIC. “With this new game-changing service, we look forward to disrupting the traditional enterprise networking and security architecture to deliver enhanced security, simplicity, and speed to our global customers and partners.”
This collaboration aims to disrupt traditional models by delivering significant return on investment and savings to IT teams and enterprise users. The companies emphasize that their partnership will redefine security and networking for enterprises. Cloudbrink’s platform is easy to start with and can be integrated with existing technologies, making it a flexible solution for enterprises.
“At first, we would like to offer these virtual trusted overlay network services to enterprises, but in the next phase, we would like to provide this solution for our horizontal market, including telecom, financial, healthcare, government, and retail customers,” said Kikuchi.
The offering also includes visibility and analytics tools for customers to gain insights for monitoring and troubleshooting issues.
