Gradient MSP has introduced a new pricing benchmark assessment tool that offers MSPs in-depth insights into resale prices, costs, and product adoption rates. The tool leverages data from over 1,000 MSPs and more than $7 billion in sales to provide a comprehensive view of the market.

Profitability can be a tightrope walk for MSPs. Successfully navigating the MSP and IT channel business landscape requires a keen understanding of both overarching industry trends and the specific nuances of local markets. To thrive, MSPs must be strategic in their product selection and pricing, ensuring they remain competitive while driving revenue.

This is where the MSP Pricing Benchmark Assessment comes in.

According to Gradient Cofounder and CEO Colin Knox the tool is designed to be a valuable resource for the entire MSP community.

“Price benchmarking is what the MSP community has been asking for since the beginning of time,” said Knox in a press release. “A lack of clear guidance on pricing has been one of the biggest barriers faced by MSPs and vendors alike. Gradient, along with several of our vendor peers, is proud to provide a tool backed by extensive industry data to empower MSPs with the confidence they need to adjust their pricing and maximize profit.”

The MSP Pricing Benchmark Assessment aims to provide clarity where MSPs often face uncertainty. By offering a detailed snapshot of industry pricing, costs, and product adoption rates, the tool enables MSPs to make data-driven decisions that boost profitability and drive growth.

“A common challenge faced by MSPs is knowing how to best determine their pricing,” said Jim O’Driscoll, vice president of sales at Sherweb. “It’s a constant balancing act between profitability and competitiveness. This new MSP Pricing Benchmark Assessment tool eliminates a lot of that guesswork so that MSPs can confidently optimize their pricing strategies, increase revenue, and gain a competitive edge. We know many of our partners will benefit from using this new tool and we will encourage them to take advantage of it.”

This tool is being made available for free due to support from some of the biggest names in the MSP market, including Auvik, Barracuda, Breach Secure Now, CyberFOX, DNSFilter, Huntress, Keeper Security, Liongard, Mesh, N-able, NinjaOne, Sherweb, ThreatLocker, and TitanHQ.

“The tool looks promising. When we were a Gradient partner prior to our PSA switch, they helped us uncover revenue we were losing and were instrumental in our growth,” said Paco Lebron, CEO of ProdigyTeks. “Having these benchmarks will hopefully allow MSPs of all sizes to see where they compare in the channel. Oftentimes, MSPs that are just starting out don’t know where they should be, and the only information they have is from influencers sharing what helped their own individual growth prior to sale. Now with this real data now at their fingertips, MSPs can use this information as a valuable roadmap to grow their business.”
