Deepwatch, the creator of a managed security platform for cybersecurity resiliency, recently announced the appointment of Sammie Walker as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and Anand Ramanathan as Chief Product Officer (CPO).
Deepwatch adds expertise as it continues to grow
These two appointments are part of a wider strategy to boost Deepwatch’s mission of securing the digital economy and positioning itself for future transformative growth.
Walker, with over 25 years of experience with enterprise SaaS, cybersecurity, and technology sectors, served as CMO at Zimperium, as well as serving in CMO roles at Bugcrowd and Infoblox before joining Deepwatch. She led global marketing efforts in these roles and drove transformative go-to-market (GTM) strategies. Additionally, she assisted with doubling the core network services business at Infoblox, along with scaling security offerings, transitioning the company to a SaaS model, and expanding into edge services and cloud solutions.
“As cybersecurity continues to evolve, businesses need a holistic solution that combines advanced Threat Detection, Vulnerability Management, Incident Response capabilities, and 24-hour-a-day SOC services,” Walker said. “I’m excited to lead the marketing efforts to elevate our brand, showcase the unmatched value of our offerings, and support our mission to deliver comprehensive, resilient security solutions that meet the dynamic needs of our customers.”
She also adds that Deepwatch’s innovative technology and operational expertise allow enterprises to safeguard operations with confidence.
Ramanathan, meanwhile, previously served as CPO at AirMDR and has over 20 years of experience in senior product and GTM leadership roles at companies such as McAfee, Skyhigh Security, Proofpoint, and Cisco. Ramanathan also actively mentors early-stage startup founders in addition to his new role at Deepwatch.
“Deepwatch’s innovative approach to MDR aligns seamlessly with the evolving needs of enterprises as they navigate an evolving and unforgiving threat environment,” said Ramanathan. “I am thrilled to join this exceptional team and lead the change in delivering cutting-edge solutions that empower businesses to achieve resilience, confidence, and long-term success in the face of growing cyber challenges.”
Platform adds modules to strengthen MDR approach
Deepwatch’s latest innovative approach to MDR includes the launch of five advanced platform modules powered by the AI-native CrowdStrike Falcon cybersecurity platform to deliver MDR. These new Deepwatch Platform modules include: managed detection and response, endpoint detection and response, identity detection and response, cloud detection and response, and vulnerability & exposure management.
“The addition of Sammie and Anand to the Deepwatch leadership team marks a pivotal moment in our growth journey,” said John DiLullo, CEO at Deepwatch. “We have made a concerted effort to bring together the best and brightest leaders in the industry who align with our powerful vision for the future. Sammie’s unparalleled marketing expertise and Anand’s exceptional product vision perfectly position Deepwatch to accelerate its delivery of real-world, comprehensive cybersecurity solutions and services. Their combined leadership will greatly expand our ability to reach and serve customers struggling to respond to today’s torrent of cyberattacks.”
