The IT and software services and computer systems design sector employs more than 2 million people, up 5,400 jobs from October.

More than 1 million people work for the computer, electronics and semiconductor manufacturing sector, up 900 from October.

5 - Smaller ConnectionSmaller Connection

The telecommunications sector employs just over 781,000, down 2,000 jobs from October.

6 - Dwindling DataDwindling Data

An estimated 298,000 people work for the data processing, hosting and related services market, down 2,100 from October.

7 - Stalled SearchStalled Search

Nearly 263,000 are employed by companies in other information services, including the search portal market, down 800 from October.

8 - Big PictureBig Picture

There are 6.6 million people who work as IT professionals overall (for both tech and non-tech companies). That’s up 1.8% from October.

9 - Tighter SpaceTighter Space

There were more than 165,600 job postings for IT positions overall in November, down 8.6% from October.
