DUBLIN, CA — Enterprise infrastructure and mobile software supplier

Sybase Inc. signed an agreement this week to purchase privately held

XcelleNet, Inc., the developer of frontline device management software.

The all-cash transaction is valued at approximately $95.2 million. Sybase intends to integrate XcelleNet into its iAnywhere Solutions subsidiary.

The acquisition will allow Sybase to offer enterprise clients solutions for managing remote and mobile systems. Sybase expects to gain 2,200 global customers and expand relationships with partners HP and Microsoft.
