Privately held CDW Corp. reported that its full-year 2007 sales grew by 20 percent year over year and its fourth-quarter sales climbed by 17 percent year over year.
Formerly publicly held, CDW reported these results eight months after the company announced its intention to go private through an acquisition by a private equity firm.
The Vernon Hills, Ill., company said sales for the full-year 2007 totalled $8.14 billion compared with $6.78 billion in 2006. Average daily sales for 2007 were $32.06 million compared with $26.71 million in 2006, also representing a 20 percent increase.
Sales for the fourth quarter totalled $2.13 billion, compared with $1.82 billion for the same quarter a year ago. Average daily sales in the fourth quarter were $33.86 million compared with $28.95 million during the fourth quarter last year.
Sales results for 2007 include revenues from Berbee Information Networks, acquired by CDW on Oct. 11, 2006. Sales for 2006 and the fourth-quarter 2006 do not include any revenues from Berbee.
CDW announced in May 2007 that it had agreed to be acquired by Madison Dearborn Partners and Providence Equity Partners.
