Fleet Device Management has earned ISO 27001 certification and completed an independent GDPR assessment, adding security and data governance credentials as the endpoint management provider serves European enterprise customers.

ISO 27001 and GDPR assessments show Fleet governance

The ISO 27001 certification provides independent validation of Fleet’s information security management practices, and its completed independent GDPR assessment demonstrates that Fleet can attest to the standards for organizations operating under European data protection requirements.

“European regulations are among the most developed globally, and they’re asking the right question: who actually controls the technology that runs the enterprise?” said Mike McNeil, CEO and co-founder of Fleet.

“Digital sovereignty means being able to see how your infrastructure works, control where your data goes, and change direction without asking a vendor for permission and causing unnecessary slow downs. That’s what open source has always been about, and it’s exactly how we built Fleet,” McNeil adds.

Mollie, a financial services provider, and SUSE, a provider of enterprise open-source solutions, are among European organizations utilizing Fleet.

“When we evaluate any tool that touches every device in our environment, security posture is non-negotiable,” said Sam Clark, senior infrastructure manager, Mollie. “Fleet’s ISO 27001 certification, combined with their open-source transparency, means we can see exactly how the product works and trust how our data is protected.”

What the security credentials mean for channel partners

The new certification and GDPR attestation could help create additional opportunities for MSPs, VARs, systems integrators (SIs), and distributors serving European customers with increasingly stringent security and data protection requirements.

The certifications provide partners with additional assurances to bring into conversations with organizations evaluating endpoint management platforms, potentially helping address concerns around security, compliance, and data governance.

For MSPs, Fleet’s certifications could enhance opportunities to bundle endpoint management with broader managed security and compliance services, including device visibility, vulnerability management, patching, and security policy enforcement.

VARs and SIs, meanwhile, may leverage Fleet’s credentials to pursue enterprise customers seeking alternatives to traditional device management platforms, generating revenue through consulting, implementation, migrations, and ongoing support.

For distributors, the certifications could help presellers and MSPs expand their European-focused endpoint management offerings by providing partner education, enablement, and go-to-market support.
