Fleet Device Management has joined Anthropic’s Project Glasswing as the device management vendor looks to address a widening security gap between how quickly vulnerabilities can be exploited and how fast organizations can identify and remediate them.
The move comes as Fleet’s recent Road to AI in IT survey found 79% of organizations take more than a day to deploy critical security patches for browsers, operating systems and extensions, even as attackers increasingly exploit vulnerabilities within hours.
Security and device management gain frontier AI edge
By joining the project, Fleet will evaluate how frontier AI can strengthen the security of device management systems, MDM protocols, and the infrastructure that supports them.
Further, it will look into how these capabilities can improve defensive workflows, including understanding endpoint state, identifying remediation priorities, and increasing the speed and safety of internal security operations.

Patch delays highlight the device management challenge
Fleet cited research from its recent Road to AI in IT survey, which found that 79% of organizations take more than a day to deploy critical security patches for browsers, operating systems, and extensions, even as attackers increasingly exploit vulnerabilities within hours.
This stat highlights a gap between how quickly threats emerge and how quickly IT teams can find and mitigate them.

Its participation in Project Glasswing is part of Fleet’s mission to help close that gap by improving the speed and safety of how it identifies, evaluates, and responds to security risks.

Project Glasswing grows as AI comes under greater scrutiny
Anthropic launched Project Glasswing in April 2026 after its Mythos model showed a prowess for identifying vulnerabilities that spooked many security experts.
Since then, companies with products and interests spanning critical infrastructure, cybersecurity, and other software tooling have joined the alliance to share resources and findings.
Fleet’s involvement extends that work into endpoint and device management, where IT teams are under pressure to identify vulnerabilities and remediate them faster.
For MSPs and other service providers managing large numbers of customer endpoints, the project could provide an early indication of where frontier AI can improve security workflows without sacrificing the controls required for sensitive infrastructure.
Fleet also plans to publish lessons and best practices from the work, potentially giving the wider endpoint security and device management community a clearer view into where advanced AI can deliver practical security gains—and where human oversight and existing controls remain necessary.
