Hatz AI has launched Hatz Spaces, a collaborative artificial intelligence workspace designed to help managed service providers (MSPs) and their small and midsize business customers move beyond individual AI conversations toward shared workflows and business outcomes.
Announced November 4, the new functionality is available within Hatz Chat and allows teams to collaborate across AI conversations, files, tools, and projects while maintaining administrative controls over access and information sharing.
The launch reflects a broader shift in the MSP market as providers seek to move customers from experimenting with generative AI to integrating the technology into everyday business operations.
Hatz Spaces adds collaboration and governance controls
Spaces allows users to organize instructions, files, conversations, memory, and connected tools within shared workspaces. Rather than repeatedly providing context to AI applications, teams can build on previous interactions and collaborate around ongoing projects.
The platform also supports shared conversations, branching chats, scheduled workflows, and AI-generated artifacts with live previews.
For MSPs, the governance capabilities are particularly relevant. Customer Spaces distinguish internal information from client-facing materials, allowing providers to protect sensitive details such as pricing, notes, and project plans.
Administrators can set sharing permissions, revoke customer access, and require confirmation before making consequential changes.
“Our MSP partners are at the center of everything we build, and Spaces is no exception. Spaces meets people where and how they already work, enabling teams to work together in one place, which unlocks a new level of productivity for the businesses our partners serve,” said Jimmy Hatzell, CEO of Hatz AI.
“We are proud to equip our partners with the functionality to lead that change, drive adoption across their clients, and work side by side with them, all inside the Hatz platform. We look forward to helping our partners get the most out of these new capabilities as they become a seamless part of everyday AI use,” Hatzell continued.
Hatz Spaces is available immediately through existing Hatz packages at no additional cost, with customers purchasing access through their MSP.
Hatz AI expands its managed AI strategy for MSPs
The announcement builds on Hatz AI’s broader strategy of positioning MSPs as the primary delivery channel for managed AI services.
In an August interview with Channel Insider, Hatzell warned that MSPs risk falling behind customers already experimenting with AI without formal governance or deployment strategies.
“Business integration is happening before security and controls,” Hatzell said at the time, emphasizing the need for providers to balance productivity with security, spending, and appropriate use.
Hatz also introduced its Activate platform earlier this year to help MSPs assess customer AI readiness, identify shadow AI risks, and expand adoption across their customer bases.
Spaces extends that strategy from initial deployment toward ongoing collaboration and practical use cases.
MSPs struggle to turn AI adoption into measurable gains
The expansion comes as MSPs continue struggling to translate AI investment into measurable productivity improvements.
Recent Nerdio research, covered by Channel Insider, found that only 12% of surveyed MSPs reported measurable productivity gains directly attributable to AI.
For providers, collaborative environments could create opportunities to demonstrate value through repeatable workflows, employee training, and cross-departmental adoption rather than standalone AI subscriptions.
“Spaces is a force multiplier for AI adoption. It gets people collaborating in chat, building agents and creating artifacts together, so teams see the value of AI across the whole business, not just within their individual role,” said Edward MacMillan, VP of Channel Partnerships at General Informatics.
“Adoption is about people seeing it, doing it and teaching it, and Spaces gives us one place to make that happen across our clients’ teams. We can show them real cross-departmental wins from day one,” MacMillan added.
