Nasuni Integrates With CrowdStrike Falcon Security Platform

Nasuni, a unified file data platform for hybrid cloud environments, announced that it will debut a new integration with the CrowdStrike Falcon cybersecurity platform.

The new integration, available on the CrowdStrike Marketplace, will deliver real-time threat detection and enhanced data recovery by sharing actionable intelligence, strengthening data protection, and minimizing downtime after an attack.

Nasuni remains focused on ransomware recovery capabilities

This new integration with CrowdStrike was released not long after Nasuni released its 2024 report, The Era of Hybrid Cloud Storage. The report found that 59 percent of organizations consider cloud initiatives essential for enhancing security and quicker disaster recovery. Data recovery was found to be the highest priority during ransomware attacks.

Nasuni’s File Data Platform is a hybrid cloud solution that offers rapid file recovery, built-in ransomware detection, and mitigation to minimize the impact of cyberattacks. By integrating with CrowdStrike, users can extend the reach of their Nasuni security capabilities with CrowdStrike Falcon Next-Gen SIEM. This will allow security teams to receive detailed alerts and respond to threats quickly.

The Falcon Next-Gen SIEM takes in data from any security or IT source, combined with native Falcon platform data, threat intelligence, and AI-driven automation to stop breaches. With Nasuni and Falcon Next-Gen SIEM, customers gain a unified platform to ingest, process, and manage syslog messages to enable seamless search, reporting, dashboards, and alert actions.

Among the new features that the Nasuni and Falcon Next-Gen SIEM integration will provide include:

• Real-time ransomware threat detection: The integration will leverage Nasuni’s real-time edge detection to alert security teams to take further action in Falcon Next-Gen SIEM to combat threats.
• Enterprise-wide threat visibility: It will provide syslog data and alerts to Falcon Next-Gen SIEM, offering valuable insights for recovery, reporting, and compliance monitoring within CrowdStrike’s unified, threat-centric command console.
• Fast and precise data recovery: The integration will use logs and reporting for fast, targeted data recovery within Nasuni while facilitating security actions across the enterprise with CrowdStrike.
• Streamlined data onboarding and workflows: Simplified Nasuni data onboarding and third-party automated response actions will accelerate deployment. Unified SOC data and workflows enhance security efficiency and improve outcomes. 

CrowdStrike’s milestones

CrowdStrike recently announced new milestones and advancements in cloud security, identity protection, and next-generation cybersecurity.

The cybersecurity giant netted $1 billion in sales through the AWS Marketplace in the 2024 calendar year, the first cloud-native cybersecurity vendor to do so. This follows a strategic collaboration agreement established in 2024, which includes Amazon unifying its cybersecurity protection on the CrowdStrike Falcon platform and CrowdStrike expanding its use of AWS services to build and deploy custom models, such as Charlotte AI and generative AI agent security analysts.

Further, Falcon Cloud Security was announced to be supported on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

CrowdStrike and Oracle are changing that. With Falcon Cloud Security supported on OCI, organizations get one platform for complete cloud protection.”

Additionally, CrowdStrike Falcon Identity Protection for Microsoft Entra ID is now generally available, and the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) has authorized its Falcon Exposure Management solution.

CrowdStrike Falcon Identity Protection for Microsoft Entra ID’s general availability extends its inline prevention to cloud-based Microsoft Entra ID. It expands its identity protection for leading cloud-based identity providers, on-premises Active Directory (AD), and SaaS applications.

Attaining FedRAMP authorization with its Falcon Exposure Management solution allows CrowdStrike to make it available to government entities requiring this authorization. It will enable these entities to proactively reduce risk through the CrowdStrike Falcon platform in GovCloud.
