Ingram Micro Enhances Cloud Services, Programs

Ingram Micro announced the availability of its Cloud Marketplace in France, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom, and several new cloud services and programs aimed at partners.

The global IT distributor also announced that Microsoft Office 365 is now available on the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace, giving partners the ability to directly purchase, provision and create their own Office 365 bundles. Other cloud vendors debuting on the Cloud Marketplace include Acronis, Nomadesk and Cirius. Ingram Micro expects to add more vendors soon including Intel Security.

Ingram Micro plans to launch the Cloud Marketplace in Belgium, Italy, Germany, Spain and Sweden in the second quarter of 2015. It currently provides English, French and Spanish language support with German language support following in the second quarter.

Ingram Micro’s new cloud services and programs include Cloud Ignite Services and Cloud Elevate. Cloud Ignite Services is designed to help partners with the data migration and customer on-boarding. It also provides partners with free customer service for all cloud services purchased on the Marketplace. 

Cloud Elevate, Ingram Micro Cloud’s premier loyalty program, offers rewards and enablement services to help resellers improve their cloud sales and profitability. Benefits include exclusive promotions, discounts, education, sales and marketing support.

Avnet Launches uRenew Service Contract Portal

In a move to help partners capture service contract renewals across their hardware and software portfolios, Avnet Technology Solutions has unveiled Avnet uRenew, a service contract renewal portal for U.S. and Canadian solution partners and supplier partners.

The resource was developed to simplify the renewal process for service contracts by giving Avnet’s partners a single, consolidated view into the status of their current customer service contracts. The portal also provides data analytics related to renewal tracking to identify sales opportunities, opportunity management that allows for forecasting and transaction status updates, and sales transformation to identify up-sell and cross-sell opportunities as well as create budgeting and pricing information.

CompTIA Offers New Channel Training Courses.

CompTIA has announced its spring 2015 channel training curriculum, developed around the theme of “business transformation.” The IT Channel Training Guide includes three new courses on business agility, understanding the balance sheet and financial management. The new training catalog includes several Quick Start Sessions and Quick Start Guides on how to sell technology solutions into vertical markets.

Arrow Collaborates With Immersive

Arrow Electronics is collaborating with Immersive Partner Solutions to offer an integrated and automated validation solution for FlexPod converged infrastructures. FlexPod is an integrated computing, networking and storage solution developed by Cisco and NetApp. Immersive’s Converged Infrastructure Deployment Assurance Tool (CIDAT) for FlexPod enables VARs to validate FlexPod configurations in significantly less time than a manual configuration validation takes, said the company.

Secure Channels Partners With MicroTech

Secure Channels, a cyber-security company, has partnered with MicroTech, a technology integrator and services provider, to support federal government contracts. The new partnership enables Micro Tech, a supplier of IT products and services to the federal government, to offer Secure Channel’s patented encryption technologies for use by the U.S. government departments and agencies. The technology, now on the GSA schedule, provides security to government users in the cloud, private data centers and mobility systems, as well as a host of database systems.
