IndependenceIT Upgrades Its Cloud Workspace Suite

IndependenceIT enhanced its Cloud Workspace Suite (CWS) with new workflow management enhancements. With version 4.0, IT service providers and enterprises can centralize and automate multi-data-center administration from a single interface. The Workspace-as-a-Service platform is designed to eliminate the need to manually configure large, distributed deployments.

CWS allows IT administrators to orchestrate and provision automated, multi-platform, hypervisor/device-agnostic workspaces, apps and desktops as a service. IT service providers and administrators can select their preferred cloud infrastructure for globally accessible workspaces across single or multiple clouds. The software also offers an API set for ease of integration with existing customer infrastructure and business support tools.

Aimed at global IT service providers managing their own service provider channel or enterprise IT teams with distributed computing environments, CWS version 4.0 offers features that consolidate remotely managed environments into a single smart management interface, providing simple application and desktop delivery. The capability provides faster request acknowledgement in meeting business objectives and service-level agreements (SLAs), said IndependenceIT. The automated approach is said to deliver significant savings.
