Technology giant Hewlett-Packard and network operator Verizon Wireless
announced that the HP Pavilion dm1-3010nr and Compaq CQ10-688nr notebook PCs
can connect to Verizon’s 4G LTE mobile broadband network.

The companies said customers can expect download speeds of 5M to 12M bps and
upload speeds of 2M to 5M bps in 4G mobile broadband coverage areas. The HP
Pavilion dm1-3010nr also allows customers to stream high-definition (HD)
content, play games, video chat, and download music, photos and videos at much
faster download speeds.

Measuring less than 1 inch thin, the 11.6-inch HP Pavilion dm1-3010nr includes
HP CoolSense Technology, which combines hardware and cooling software for a
notebook that feels noticeably cooler. Customers can watch HD content in
1080p, while the dm1-3010nr also includes the latest Vision Technology from AMD—powered
by an AMD Fusion Accelerated Processing
Unit, which integrates a Microsoft DirectX 11-capable graphics processing unit
into the main processor. The notebook also features a full-size, island-style
keyboard, a multiformat digital media card reader, an HDMI port, Dolby Advanced
Audio, and GPS for mapping and navigation.

"We’re excited to offer the first notebook PC and mini for Verizon
Wireless’ 4G LTE network," said Todd Achilles, vice president of North
America service providers for HP’s personal systems group. "Through
our collaboration, customers will experience true mobile computing via compact,
stylish PCs and blazing speed."

Less than 1 inch thick and with a 10.1-inch diagonal anti-glare widescreen LED
display, the Compaq CQ10-688nr notebook features an Intel Atom N455 processor,
a six-cell in-line battery providing up to 8.5 hours of battery life, a multiformat
digital media card reader, a Web cam, and multiple connectivity options with
WLAN and Verizon’s 4G LTE wireless network. Both the dm1-3010nr and the
CQ10-688nr can be turned into mobile hot spots and allow other WiFi-enabled
devices to connect with the integrated Internet Connection Sharing application.

"The HP Pavilion dm1-3010nr notebook PC and the Compaq CQ10-688nr provide
our customers the reliability they’ve come to expect from our network combined
with our new 4G LTE speeds—all within compact, yet extremely powerful
computers," said Marni Walden, vice president and chief marketing officer
for Verizon Wireless. "As the first notebook PCs to use the Verizon
Wireless 4G LTE network, they demonstrate our commitment to bringing our
customers a wide breadth of devices to suit their mobile needs."
