This week, IBM updated its business partner charter, a manifesto for how IBM conducts business with its more than 100,000 partners. The IBM partner community consists of large IT vendors to independent software vendors to systems integrators to midmarket solution providers.
In this video, Rich Hume, general manager of IBM Global Business Partners, discusses the necessity for amending the charter and what it means to IBM’s business partners. Hume says the world has changed and continues to change from when the charter was first drafted a dozen years ago. He says the changes are designed to ensure collaboration, innovation and profitability for IBM and its partners.
While the changes to the charter are designed to reflect the evolving marketplace, Hume says what won’t change is IBM’s appreciation for the work of their solution provider partners.
