Unified communications management software company Ensim has announced a connector for Dynamics CRM 4.0, Microsoft’s long-awaited multitenant version of its customer relationship management software.

The connector enables service providers and resellers that use Ensim as a platform to add the Dynamics CRM 4.0 service to their hosted lineup of offerings immediately.

Ensim’s management software works with Microsoft’s HMC (Hosted Messaging and Collaboration) platform, enabling service providers to host Microsoft technology such as Exchange and SharePoint.

In addition, service providers can add other services to their offerings, such as BlackBerry hosting. In all, Ensim offers 15 connectors for various hosted applications.

The Ensim software—Unify Shared Edition—lets service providers activate, configure and manage all their hosted applications from a single application.

Ensim’s new offering fulfills a long-standing request from customers, according to a company executive, who said half the company’s service providers have expressed an interest in a hosted version of the Microsoft CRM software.

“Rather than waiting six months to get the solution, solution providers can now get it immediately,” said Francois Depayras, vice president of marketing at Ensim. “There’s always been a wide delay between when the solution for on-premises use comes out and when it is available in a hosted version. But our customers can launch very quickly because we are part of Microsoft’s Early Access Program.”
