Dell acquired Dec. 21 The Networked Storage Co., a storage consultancy firm based in the United Kingdom.

The Networked Storage Co. provides IT and storage consultancy, and offers customers a service called Point of Proof, which provides an auditable process to evaluate and implement technology and IT infrastructure primarily around storage networks. According to the firm’s Web site, “Client industries include financial services, retail, manufacturing, automotive, consumer goods and media.”

“The Networked Storage Co. has an extremely talented team that has developed an industry-leading approach enabling customers to simplify and validate their IT infrastructures. We plan to incorporate their expertise and world-class methodologies as part of our consulting offerings and scale globally,” Stephen Murdoch, Dell’s vice president of Global Infrastructure Consulting Services, said in a statement.

Terms were not disclosed, and the purchase will not be final until all closing conditions are met.
