Cork 2.0 launch

Risk management vendor Cork and cyber insurance marketplace UKON today announced a strategic partnership. The companies have released an integration of their two platforms, enabling MSPs to efficiently convey the financial risk associated with their security posture and tooling.

Partnership combines risk insights with reporting capabilities to shift MSPs into ‘risk advisors’

The two companies announced their new integration in time for the first day of Pax8 Beyond 2025 in Denver. Executives say the partnership is the culmination of nearly a year of discussions and growth at both organizations between 2024 and 2025.

“I met Cole [Knuth, UKON CEO] last year and we met up for coffee just to understand each other better,” Cork CEO Dan Candee told Channel Insider ahead of the launch. “We’ve stayed in touch, and now this year, they have launched a marketplace to assist ITSPs in making informed risk decisions.”

“But in order to do that, Cole and his team knew they needed insights from companies like Cork, and I’m so excited to announce this partnership,” Candee continued.

The two companies outline the benefits to MSPs with the following use cases:

  • See the risk with Cork’s Active Risk Monitoring platform.
  • Quantify the risk as UKON turns those insights into underwriting-ready risk reports and tailored coverage options.
  • Deliver the solution by recommending fixes, delivering financial protection, and building long-term trust with clients.

“We are going to put MSPs back in the driver’s seat and help them keep small businesses running,” Candee said. “But this won’t happen overnight, and I always think of something new as a journey. They can take that journey with us whenever they want.”

“In a fast-changing market, MSPs need more than tools. They need guidance. Better Together means Cork and UKON connecting the technology stack to the financial risk behind it, helping Cyber Risk Advisors guide clients from posture to protection. That’s what powers a true cyber insurance marketplace,” said Knuth in a press statement.

“Cyber insurance is the strong current in the river that moves everything forward,” Candee said. “MSPs have flipped from reactive to proactive, because they don’t have a choice anymore. Their clients need this type of advising from their trusted partners.”

This news marks the latest in several moves Candee has made since becoming CEO last year, with a mission to bring enterprise-quality security solutions to SMBs through channel partners.

“Cork is no longer a warranty company, it is a software company,” Candee said. “We offer over 75 integrations with other vendors, and we work every day to help MSPs and businesses on Main Street make the smartest, fastest decisions. Partnering with UKON helps us do that,” said Candee.

UKON follows rebrand with channel-focused partnerships

The partnership with Cork is one of several moves made by UKON in the second quarter of this year.

On June 6, UKON and Blackpoint Cyber announced their partnership, which integrates Blackpoint’s platform with UKON’s marketplace approach to cyber insurance and MSP advising capabilities.

“Our partnership with UKON is a natural extension of Blackpoint’s mission,” said Mike Yang, chief financial officer of Blackpoint Cyber. “Together, we’re delivering a smarter, more scalable approach to cyber risk that combines operational defense with financial resilience. This collaboration is a win for our partners, their clients, and the broader channel.”

“Everything we built relies on live data,” said Gene Stevens, chief technology officer of UKON, in a press statement. “Blackpoint delivers the signals that accelerate protection and make cyber insurance executable in the real world.”

UKON was founded in 2024 and operated under the name FifthWall Solutions until May of this year, when the company rebranded to signify its shift “from wholesale broker to cyber insurance marketplace.”
