Cisco and Tandberg Prepare to Dominate Business Video Market
Cisco and Tandberg rolled out a Telepresence Starter Kit at a 70 percent discount during Cisco’s Partner Summit. Partners say the addition of Tandberg fills out Cisco’s Telepresence product line to enable end-to-end video conferencing solutions for business. Meanwhile, rival Polycom says it is feeling the benefits of Cisco’s marketing might in the pipelines of its own channel partners, and sales grew “tremendously” in the fourth quarter.

HP Optimistic on Print Managed Services
The recession forced businesses to postpone upgrading their printer fleets. The huge, aging install base has Hewlett-Packard believing that solution providers can not only sell new printers, but convert their accounts to print managed services.

HP Hints at TippingPoint’s Future
As part of the 3Com acquisition, HP picks up the TippingPoint intrusion prevention portfolio. While plans for this line remains undefined, HP executives say it’s an ‘important’ part of its security product future.
