Kronos Upgrades Workforce Management Platform for SMBs
Kronos SaaShr upgraded its software-as-a-service workforce management platform. Available through a network of service providers, the platform delivers enterprise-class workforce management solutions in the cloud to small and midsize businesses (SMBs). The updates allow resellers to deliver services that help SMBs maintain compliance and minimize compliance risk.
The platform now includes features to help SMBs recruit, manage and reward the workforce with expanded talent acquisition and hiring tools. The new release also includes resources to ensure that SMBs meet regional, national and global compliance requirements, such as the Affordable Care Act (ACA) manager to ensure that SMBs in the United States are aware of legislation changes and requirements, tax support and year-end compliance updates, and integration with TurboTax, the company said.
FireHost, Dell Partner on Secure Managed Private Cloud Services
FireHost, a secure managed cloud provider, is partnering with Dell Services to deliver secure, fully managed private cloud services. FireHost’s cloud solution, available in single-tenant and multi-tenant solutions, helps companies protect data and exceed regulatory requirements. By incorporating FireHost into the Dell Cloud Services ecosystem, the companies will extend their secure, managed private cloud capabilities to better serve health care, government, and payments-related retail and financial industries. FireHost is joining the Dell Cloud Onsite service that provides customizable service-level agreements to meet a variety of business requirements. Dell Cloud Onsite powered by FireHost is built on Dell infrastructure, including the Dell PowerEdge FX2 converged architecture.
CommVault, NaviSite Ink Service Deal
CommVault has entered into an agreement with NaviSite, a Time Warner Cable Company and provider of enterprise-class hosting, managed applications, managed messaging and managed cloud services, to extend the data protection capabilities of its Simpana software to NaviSite’s NaviCloud portfolio.
Under the agreement, CommVault will provide data protection and management capabilities for customers using NaviCloud Director, an enterprise-class cloud infrastructure-as-a-service solution, which is offered directly to customers via a self-service portal and delivered in conjunction with NaviSite’s portfolio of managed services.
Avnet Named HP Learning Partner
Avnet Technology Solutions has announced that its Avnet Services global business unit has been named an HP Learning Partner, enabling the global IT distributor to help HP solution providers in the United States and Canada to increase their technical skills. Avnet can now provide its solution providers with authorized HP ExpertOne certification training.
The courses focus on key technical areas required to support the design, deployment, administration and management of HP server, storage, networking, data centers, virtualization, cloud and converged infrastructure environments. The courses will initially be offered in the United States and Canada through Avnet Academy, Avnet Services’ education and training organization. Public instructor-led online courses or private on-site classes are available.
