Arrow brings its ArrowSphere cloud service brokerage and aggregation platform to North America in 2013. Services include white-label Web stores to help drive cloud adoption, along with services around building and scaling cloud practices.

Supporting a Web-Scale Infrastructure ApproachSupporting a Web-Scale Infrastructure Approach

Arrow signed an agreement to sell the Nutanix Virtual Computing Platform in North America. The product consolidates computing and storage tiers into a single integrated appliance. The Web-scale infrastructure, pioneered by big cloud and Web companies, is touted as a new and simpler way to deploy and manage data centers, and is moving into the mainstream.

Cloud TransitionsCloud Transitions

Arrow adds SoftLayer’s (an IBM company) cloud infrastructure offerings, complementing its services support for IBM hardware and software. The partnership is aimed at IBM solution providers that are helping their customers transition to the cloud.

Hybrid ServicesHybrid Services

The addition of VMware VCloud Hybrid Service to the ArrowSphere platform delivers automated replication, monitoring and high availability of applications without code changes. Built on VMware vSphere, the platform allows customers to extend their data center to the cloud without having to rewrite their applications.

Education as a Value-Added ServiceEducation as a Value-Added Service

Selected as one of four IBM Global Training providers for the tech giant’s Software Group and Systems and Technology Group, Arrow launched the Global Training Alliance to offer IBM training globally. In addition to systems and software training, the alliance includes educational services around cloud computing, big data, mobility and security.

Focus on MSPsFocus on MSPs

Arrow launches ArrowSphere xSP Central, an online module for managed service providers (MSPs). This is designed to help MSPs better manage their license agreements while helping them improve their margins and services to customers.

Desktop-as-a-Service in the CloudDesktop-as-a-Service in the Cloud

Arrow offers dinCloud’s complete portfolio of cloud-based services, including hosted virtual desktops, hosted virtual servers and cloud storage services. The dinCloud DaaS offering gives Arrow’s resellers additional opportunities to add services around these offerings.

NetApp SupportNetApp Support

A partnership with Artisan Infrastructure, a wholesale infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) provider, delivers cloud-based data protection infrastructure and a suite of services to support NetApp customers.

Securing the CloudSecuring the Cloud

Arrow expands its distribution agreement with SafeNet to deliver data security and compliance offerings in virtualized and storage environments. Arrow’s channel partners can now offer SafeNet’s complete data protection portfolio in North America, including ProtectV, a data encryption solution for virtualized and cloud environments.

Bundling ServicesBundling Services

Arrow offers converged infrastructure bundles, built on IBM’s Flex System and the Juniper Networks QFabric technology, to simplify integration for cloud data centers. The offering is designed to help customers manage virtualization demands driven by big data initiatives that need integrated server and storage.
