IT giant Cisco recently announced that it would be parting ways with Rodney Clark, senior vice president of global partner sales, with Tim Coogan stepping in to replace him.

Transition includes the appointment of Tim Coogan as SVP of global partner sales

“We want to thank Rodney for his dedication to our partners, leadership, and contributions to Cisco,” a Cisco spokesperson said. “Tim Coogan will step into the role of SVP, Global Partner Sales, effective immediately. With over 25 years of technology sales experience, a proven track record of driving partner success and trust at Cisco, and a deep understanding of how to scale business together, Tim is the ideal leader to guide our partners forward in this next phase of growth and collaboration.”

“Rodney and Tim are committed to ensuring a smooth transition and remain confident in our partner strategy. We wish Rodney continued success in his future endeavors,” the spokesperson continued.

During his time at Cisco, Clark was responsible for enabling Cisco’s global ecosystem of partners and scaling and strengthening go-to-market strategies to help drive growth.

Coogan slides over from his position as SVP for U.S. Commercial at Cisco, where he and his team were responsible for driving profitable growth and transformation through the sale of Cisco’s products and services to diverse groups of business accounts.

Prior to that role, Coogan served as the Area Vice President of Global Enterprise Segment South and West, leading Cisco’s engagement with customers across all industries.

Cisco Partner Program enhancements

Further, Cisco 360, Cisco’s revamped partner program, will continue to move forward as planned. Under the direction of Clark, the program changes and enhancements were unveiled last fall. Cisco 360 will continue a phased rollout throughout 2025, with a formal launch date scheduled for February 2026.

“Today, it’s about helping customers unlock the power of technology to achieve their business outcomes,” Clark said at the time of the program’s announcement. “That’s the foundation of the Cisco 360 Partner Program. Whether through lifecycle practices, technical capabilities, or managed services, partners can drive profitable growth with our new value-based program. With a 15-month transition, partners have time to prepare and maximize their potential in the Cisco 360 Partner Program.”

The 360 Partner Program will have two tiers: the Cisco Partner and Cisco Preferred Partner. These two designations can be earned for each portfolio. Additionally, Cisco says this structure offers simplification, alongside the ability to improve awareness and understanding among customers of the value of designated partners.
