Westcon-Comstor and Palo Alto Networks are tying additional partner support to business performance as they look to expand cybersecurity sales across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).

The companies announced the Partner Growth Circle on October 27, introducing a program that combines joint business planning, technical enablement, demand-generation funding, and quarterly performance reviews for selected Westcon channel partners.

The initiative aims to help participating resellers and service providers build stronger Palo Alto Networks businesses. However, access to certain benefits depends on partners successfully executing their agreed plans.

Under the program, participating partners will work with Westcon-Comstor to develop joint business plans covering priority Palo Alto Networks solutions, target customer accounts, and agreed sales pipeline objectives.

Westcon-Comstor will provide coordinated sales and technical support to help partners pursue those opportunities.

According to the distributor, partners that successfully execute their plans will gain access to exclusive benefits, including:

  • Services workshops: Tailored sessions to help partners develop their service capabilities.
  • Certification support: Resources to strengthen technical expertise in Palo Alto Networks solutions.
  • Demand-generation funding: Financial support for eligible marketing and customer acquisition activities.

Participants can also draw on Westcon-Comstor’s Tech Xpert community, 3D Lab virtual demonstration environments, and sales and pre-sales enablement resources.

The distributor will use its Intelligent Demand (iD) program, which applies predictive data analysis to identify sales opportunities it considers more likely to close.

Partner performance against business plans and pipeline objectives will be reviewed quarterly.

Westcon-Comstor has not disclosed how many partners will participate, how much funding is available, or the specific performance thresholds for accessing additional benefits.

Program builds on Palo Alto Networks’ channel strategy

The Partner Growth Circle expands an established distribution relationship between Westcon-Comstor and Palo Alto Networks across EMEA.

The companies previously introduced SASEvolution, which combines Palo Alto Networks Prisma SASE technology with Westcon-managed services in ready-to-sell offerings for partners.

The new initiative also follows Palo Alto Networks’ revamped NextWave Partner Program, announced earlier this year.

That broader program places greater emphasis on platform adoption, technical expertise, service delivery, and partner profitability.

Partner Growth Circle takes a more focused approach within Westcon-Comstor’s distribution network, connecting additional resources to individual business plans and measurable sales objectives.

Daniel Hurel, senior vice president of Westcon EMEA go-to-market at Westcon-Comstor, said the initiative responds to demand for Palo Alto Networks solutions as organizations adapt their cybersecurity strategies to AI-related opportunities and risks.

According to Hurel, the program is intended to help partners strengthen pipelines, expand customer relationships, and develop more repeatable sources of revenue.

Patricia Murphy, vice president of EMEA ecosystems at Palo Alto Networks, said the initiative would provide partners with the structure and resources needed to expand their technical capabilities and grow their businesses.

Neither company has announced projected revenue gains or financial returns from the program.

Westcon-Comstor expands its services-led distribution model

The launch also fits Westcon-Comstor’s broader efforts to provide partners with capabilities beyond product distribution.

In May, the distributor introduced its OneSOC white-label security operations service, allowing EMEA partners to offer managed security operations under their own brands without building a security operations center from scratch.

Partner Growth Circle addresses a different challenge: helping selected partners build sales opportunities and technical expertise around Palo Alto Networks products and services.

The approach reflects Westcon-Comstor’s existing focus on cybersecurity specialization. In an earlier discussion about supporting channel partners across EMEA and APAC, company executives described how the distributor develops vendor-specific go-to-market strategies and helps partners respond to changing customer requirements.

The Partner Growth Circle was introduced following the recent WestConnect event in Barcelona, which brought together partners and senior representatives from both companies.

Seven partners received regional awards at the event, including South Africa’s Compugeddon CC, named EMEA Partner of the Year, and UAE-based Fireware LLC, named MEA Partner of the Year.

Other recipients represented the Netherlands, Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Spain.

The awards recognized partner performance and technical expertise, but the announcement did not establish whether the recipients would participate in the new program.

What it means for channel partners

For EMEA resellers and service providers, the Partner Growth Circle offers an opportunity to access additional technical, sales, and marketing support while expanding their Palo Alto Networks business.

The quarterly review structure also means participating partners will need to demonstrate progress against agreed objectives.

Before committing resources, partners should clarify the program’s eligibility requirements, funding conditions, performance expectations, and available support in their markets.

They should also assess whether their existing customer relationships and technical capabilities align with the Palo Alto Networks solutions they plan to pursue.

For partners already selling cybersecurity solutions, the program could support expansion into implementation, managed services, and ongoing security optimization. Those opportunities, however, depend on customer demand and the partner’s ability to deliver the services.

The larger opportunity is not simply access to more sales resources, but the ability to turn those resources into sustainable business growth.

Westcon-Comstor and Palo Alto Networks are putting greater emphasis on partners that can build expertise, develop qualified pipelines, and demonstrate results.

For channel businesses evaluating the program, the deciding question is whether its support can help them win and retain customers profitably—not just meet another set of sales targets.
