Veeam Software, a leader in data resilience, has recently debuted the Veeam App for ServiceNow.

Veaam data protection comes to ServiceNow workflows to automate reporting and more

The solution will assist enterprises with integrating the management and automation of Veeam Data Platform’s data protection capabilities within their ServiceNow workflows.

The Veeam App for ServiceNow delivers bi-directional, seamless, policy-driven backup and recovery orchestration capabilities within the ServiceNow AI Platform, natively, while offering full auditability, real-time status sync, and compliance reporting.

“In today’s digital landscape, everything depends on data – especially the workflows that drive modern business operations,” said Veeam CRO John Jester. “Data resilience means ensuring all organizational data is protected, so business can continue uninterrupted, no matter the circumstances. By uniting Veeam’s secure backup and resilience features with ServiceNow ITSM automation, we enable customers to simplify operations, accelerate recovery, and stay prepared for audits in an increasingly complex regulatory environment.”

Why ITSM workflows benefit from enhanced data security tooling

Veeam App for ServiceNow is built to deliver a seamless, secure, and intelligent bridge between organizations’ Veeam infrastructure and their IT service management (ITSM) workflows.

This capability enables ServiceNow users to monitor, orchestrate, and automate Veeam-powered data protection tasks without leaving the ServiceNow AI Platform.

The Veeam App for ServiceNow is built for enterprises seeking to do the following:

  • Empower teams with self-service data protection and automation.
  • Streamline business continuity with automated incident creation.
  • Enterprise organizational intelligence by enriching ServiceNow with Veeam data.
  • Achieve comprehensive auditing, reporting, and compliance through a secure, policy-driven platform.
  • Deploy role-based and self-service operations for backup management.

Additionally, the Veeam App for ServiceNow enables enterprises to decentralize backup management, streamline incident response, and enhance visibility while maintaining enterprise-grade security and control. Its key features include:

  • Automation and compliance: The app provides automated compliance documentation and audit trails for business and regulatory requirements.
  • Bi-directional synchronization: It offers real-time status updates and unified workflows between Veeam and ServiceNow.
  • Integration with native ServiceNow user and group management: This integration provides seamless role-based access to policies, jobs, and data.
  • Accelerated response and traceability: The app reduces manual intervention, speeds incident resolution, and provides end-to-end traceability.

App available through ServiceNow store

The app is available for free to Veeam Data Platform Advanced and Premium edition customers through the ServiceNow Store.

“Successful partnerships are built on a shared vision and a joint commitment to solving real business challenges at hand,” said Alix Douglas, group vice president of partner solutions at ServiceNow. “Veeam App for ServiceNow gives customers powerful new ways to further protect data in highly regulated sectors. This collaboration is only the beginning of empowering organizations to thrive in today’s dynamic business environment.”

Recently, Veeam announced its acquisition of Securiti AI to unify data resilience, security, privacy, and AI trust for enterprises to maximize data for AI. Read more about the billion-dollar deal meant to help customers comprehend their full data estate.
