EMC is merging the channel program of IT security vendor Network Intelligence, which it acquired in September 2005, into the channel program of RSA, acquired by EMC in October 2005, and now considered the parent company’s security division.

RSA said Network Intelligence channel partners have been invited to join the RSA SecurWorld program. RSA said it expects Network Intelligence channel partners to transition over to the SecurWorld Program by the end of March.

Network Intelligence had previously operated a one-tier channel model, with all resellers holding direct contracts with Network Intelligence. Now Network Intelligence partner categories have been converted into the corresponding RSA SecurWorld categories, with entry levels dependent upon prior levels of training and accreditations received, the company said.

EMC, based in Hopkinton, Mass., said the change will make it easier for channel partners from both programs to sell each other’s products. Network Intelligence’s solutions, including RSA EnVision, are now available through RSA’s SecurWorld partner program, enabling channel partners to buy them through RSA distributors, according to EMC.

Network Intelligence partners that join the RSA program will get its deal registration, access to the RSA SecurWorld Partner Portal, instant rebates, and other rewards and incentives, the company said in a statement.

Network Intelligence partners will also have the opportunity to attain the accreditations required to sell RSA’s portfolio of other security offerings, while existing RSA SecurWorld partners will be able to earn sales and technical authorizations for Network Intelligence solutions, the company added.
