AI and cloud company MegazoneCloud has signed a strategic reseller agreement with Portal26 to bring the U.S. company’s generative AI governance and security platform to enterprise customers in Korea.
Under an agreement signed September 28, MegazoneCloud will resell Portal26’s AI Adoption Management Platform and provide technical support, while the companies develop governance and security offerings tailored to Korean customer environments.
The partnership focuses on unauthorized use of generative AI, exposure of sensitive data, governance, and AI-related costs.
Partnership targets shadow AI and data governance
Portal26’s AI Adoption Management Platform is designed to detect, analyze, and control generative AI activity across internal development environments, web-based AI services used by employees, and unauthorized shadow AI.
The platform provides visibility and controls at the network and browser levels, enabling organizations to identify how generative AI is used across their environments.
“As generative AI becomes increasingly embedded across business operations, gaining real-time visibility into unauthorized AI usage and managing the risk of sensitive information leakage at the prompt level have emerged as critical new security challenges,” said Doug Yeum, chief executive officer at MegazoneCloud.
Yeum said the companies plan to combine Portal26’s AI visibility and data protection technology with MegazoneCloud’s cloud, AI, and security capabilities to help customers establish governance frameworks around generative AI use.
Portal26 adds prompt-level controls and AI visibility
The platform’s prompt-level data loss prevention capabilities can also detect, mask, and block sensitive information entered into generative AI tools. AI usage records are maintained as audit trails for security audits and incident analysis.
MegazoneCloud and Portal26 highlighted several areas the platform is designed to address:
- Visibility into generative AI and shadow AI usage
- Management of sensitive information and data security risks
- Stronger AI compliance and governance
- Management of AI usage and costs
Platform also tracks AI usage and costs
Portal26’s platform allows organizations to manage token usage and costs by AI agent, organization, and team.
According to both companies, this can help organizations prevent excessive usage and unexpected cost increases while assessing the effectiveness of AI adoption based on actual usage data.
Portal26 said the platform can be deployed in approximately 30 minutes, allowing organizations to gain visibility into generative AI usage without a complex implementation process.
MegazoneCloud to provide implementation and support
MegazoneCloud plans to support customers from implementation through ongoing operations, leveraging its AI and cloud teams and the HALO security organization. The company said it will also engage with customers from the AI service design stage to develop governance and security approaches based on their cloud environments and AI use cases.
Portal26 will provide the underlying platform and related technical expertise, while the companies plan to collaborate on technical support, service enhancements, and joint sales and marketing activities in Korea.
“Our partnership with MegazoneCloud will help provide enterprises the tools to successfully address the critical challenges and opportunities faced by AI leaders,” said Arti Raman, chief executive officer of Portal26.
Raman said the partnership is intended to give enterprises ongoing visibility into how AI is being used across their organizations and a path to apply security and governance around that activity.
