Zoom Communications, Inc. has appointed Andrew Hindmarch as head of channel for Asia Pacific (APAC), tasking the executive with leading its regional partner strategy across distributors, resellers, systems integrators, and service providers.
Announced Oct. 12, the appointment puts Hindmarch in charge of expanding market reach and strengthening partner capabilities across Zoom’s portfolio, including ZoomMate, Zoom CX, Zoom Phone, and Zoom Events.
He is based in Singapore and reports to Carlos Quaderi, head of APAC at Zoom.
Andrew Hindmarch brings more than 20 years of channel experience
Hindmarch joins Zoom from NiCE, where he served as vice president of partner and alliances, leading the customer experience (CX) division’s channel business across APAC and the Middle East.
He brings more than 20 years of experience in enterprise technology and CX, including previous commercial and channel leadership roles at Avaya, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and 3Com.
Zoom linked the appointment to what it described as growing customer interest in applying AI across employee workflows and customer service.
“Customers across APAC are looking at how AI can deliver value across more of their business, from how employees work to how they serve customers,” said Quaderi.
“Hindmarch brings deep CX expertise and a strong track record of building channel businesses across diverse markets. As demand for Zoom CX and our broader portfolio continues to grow, his experience will be invaluable in helping partners capture new growth opportunities, deliver greater value for customers, and help more organisations turn conversations and insights into action.”
Zoom targets APAC partner growth through AI and CX
Hindmarch will work with Zoom’s distributors, resellers, systems integrators, and service providers to expand the company’s regional reach and help partners strengthen their sales and technical capabilities.
Zoom said it will continue developing its channel strategy through the Zoom Up Partner Programme, providing APAC partners with enhanced tools, enablement, and support to build expertise across its portfolio and support their go-to-market efforts.
“I’m excited to join Zoom at a time when AI is creating new opportunities for organisations to rethink how work gets done and how they engage with their customers,” said Hindmarch.
“Having spent much of my career in CX and scaling channel businesses, I’ve seen the critical role partners play in turning technology into real outcomes for customers. The breadth of Zoom’s AI-powered solutions provides us with a strong opportunity to help partners address our customers’ needs and grow their businesses across APAC.”
