Concentric AI, an autonomous data security provider, recently announced the availability of integrations to enhance the AI-driven capabilities of its Semantic Intelligence data security governance platform.

Data governance functionalities get boost through expanded partnerships

These integrations broaden the platform’s data governance functionalities for organizations. These new and expanded integrations are with Wiz, Salesforce, and GitHub, offering the ability to discover and categorize structured and unstructured data across both cloud and on-premises environments.

Concentric AI Semantic Intelligence operates as a single end-to-end platform to protect enterprise data where it’s located and however it travels, including data at rest across cloud and on-prem environments; data in motion being emailed, uploaded to file sharing applications, and posted to social media; and across all GenAI applications users interact with today.

The platform utilizes AI to comprehend the context behind both structured and unstructured data, enabling it to accurately identify PII, PCI, PHI, intellectual property (IP), and critical business documents that others may overlook. This provides users with more accurate classifications and access policies within the platform itself and across a customer’s entire security stack, along with continuous monitoring and remediation. Risks such as over-permissioning and misclassified data are handled automatically.

Integrations with Wiz, GitHub, and Salesforce: details on sensitive data solutions

Concentric AI’s new integration with Wiz, a cloud security provider, provides Wiz customers with contextual insights into their cloud data and allows them to identify sensitive data.

“We’re pleased to welcome Concentric AI to the Wiz Integration Network as we work together to help customers protect sensitive data in the cloud,” said Oron Noah, VP of Product Extensibility & Partnerships at Wiz. “By combining Wiz Configuration Findings with Concentric AI’s advanced data classification, our joint customers can uncover and respond to risks that involve both misconfigurations and sensitive data. This gives them the context needed to protect everything they build and run in the cloud.”

Wiz works to secure cloud infrastructure, applications, and data for organizations by identifying critical risks across misconfigurations, vulnerabilities, and overly permissive access. Concentric AI now brings deep semantic context within cloud storage, enabling Wiz users to pinpoint and protect only the truly at-risk data. This precision helps customers avoid blunt-force remediations, while ensuring sensitive data remains secure without compromising productivity.

The integration with GitHub enables the Concentric AI platform to watermark source code preemptively, helping to prevent unauthorized access. By allowing organizations to watermark their IP so their DLP tools can prevent it from being downloaded.

The GitHub integration is particularly relevant for technology organizations seeking to protect their IP from being downloaded, and once a watermark is applied, the organization’s DLP tool can read it and block downloads by unauthorized users.

“Concentric AI continues to set the bar with innovative integrations that give organizations better visibility into the type of data they have, what is at risk, and how to remediate it,” said Karthik Krishnan, Concentric AI Founder and CEO. “Our expanded and enhanced support of data sources enables organizations to leverage this intelligence to operationalize their data security, reduce the risk of sensitive data leakage, and comply with industry regulations. These integrations also provide a path to a more continuous revenue stream for our partners who now have an offering that scans, monitors, and protects sensitive data across even more repositories.”

Lastly, Concentric AI expanded its existing integration with Salesforce to include discovering location information, a key component for GDPR compliance.

Semantic Intelligence’s enhanced integration with Salesforce enables the tool to detect the geographical locations of contacts in Salesforce, allowing them to be mapped to the appropriate regulatory framework for their region.

Concentric AI has recently added a new Chief Information Security and Strategy Officer to lead its cybersecurity program and contribute to its security strategy. Catch up on Lane Sullivan’s appointment and others from May’s leadership roundup.
