AppDynamics Expands Partner Program
AppDynamics, an application intelligence company, enhanced its partner program with new channel partnerships and an expanded team to support the U.S. federal government and Canadian markets. The company expanded its North American channel team in fiscal 2015 as part of its planned growth strategy. AppDynamics claims to be the first application intelligence platform provider available through Promark Technology's General Services Administration (GSA) schedule.
The company also added six new solution partners in Canada during the last fiscal year, including Longview and Herjavec Group. It also promoted Matthew Polly to vice president of worldwide alliances and business development to lead strategic alliances and technology partner, systems integrator, managed service provider and solution provider sales.
QTS Becomes Cisco Intercloud Fabric Provider
QTS Realty Trust, a provider of data center facilities and cloud services, which has a long-term relationship with Cisco, now offers solutions built on Cisco Intercloud Fabric (ICF). QTS can now provide its customers with a variety of scalable hybrid cloud solutions.
QTS' suite of secure, compliant IaaS solutions includes the QTS Enterprise Cloud, the FedRamp-compliant QTS Federal Cloud and QTS disaster recovery-as-a-service (DRaaS). QTS Enterprise Cloud with Cisco ICF will be available in the fourth quarter.
Alation, Altiscale Forge Partnership
Alation, a data accessibility company, and Altiscale, a provider of Hadoop-as-a-service, announced a strategic partnership to help businesses generate faster insights from large volumes of data. The partnership leverages Alation's data accessibility platform with Altiscale's Hadoop Data Cloud to deliver collaborative analytics.
Hostway Expands Cloud Offering
Hostway Services, a cloud hosting provider, expanded its cloud portfolio with the launch of virtual and dedicated private cloud services, based on Windows Server 2012 R2 and using Windows Azure Pack. With Azure Pack, customers can use their existing Microsoft tools, skill sets and APIs without having to learn a new technology or rebuild their systems, while Hostway's cloud support offerings give customers the option of having Hostway completely or partially manage their cloud solution.
Commvault Earns Cisco Preferred Solution Partner Status
Commvault, a data protection and information management specialist, is now a Preferred Solution Partner within the Cisco Solution Partner Program that is designed to deliver integrated solutions to joint customers. As a member of the Cisco Solution Partner Program, Commvault can create and deploy solutions to enhance the capabilities, performance and management of the network to capture value in the Internet of things.
Commvault's latest partnership gives cloud service providers and enterprises access to the Cisco Validated Design (CVD) reference architecture for backup-as-a-service (BaaS). The jointly tested and developed BaaS architecture for public/hosted, hybrid and private cloud environments offers enhanced solutions for cloud and managed services.
Knowledge Vault Joins Microsoft Enterprise Partner Cloud Alliance
Knowledge Vault, a Microsoft Gold partner, has joined the Microsoft Enterprise Partner Cloud Alliance. The membership demonstrates the company's commitment to enhance the Microsoft experience with auditing, reporting, analytics and management tools for Microsoft Office 365.
MIT Professional Education Launches Online
MIT Professional Education announced its first online course on cyber-security for global professionals. Offered in support of a campus-wide MIT initiative to counter the threat of cyber-security attacks facing organizations, the course addresses advanced cyber-crime and security threats, including relevant case studies.
The six-week online course, designed for engineers, technical managers, entrepreneurs and anyone with a bachelor's degree level expertise in computer science, also will cover systems and policy issues as well as security challenges in hardware, software and cryptography.
