Squalify, a cyber risk quantification (CRQ) provider, has launched Essential CRQ — a new offering designed to help organizations quantify cyber risk in financial terms in as little as 24 hours, using a minimal set of inputs.
Gaining a clear financial view of cyber risk
According to the company, Essential CRQ is built on Squalify’s quantification platform and informed by the expertise of Munich Re, a Germany-based cyber reinsurer.
Squalify is positioning the offering as a practical tool for executive decision-making and cyber insurance negotiations.
“With Essential CRQ, organizations no longer have to choose between speed and credibility,” said Asdrúbal Pichardo, chief executive officer of Squalify.
“We designed this product to give executives a clear financial view of cyber risk without months of data gathering, complex spreadsheets, or opaque assumptions.”
Essential CRQ provides business-relevant financial risk metrics from a focused set of inputs.
Using just 42 targeted data points, it generates core metrics via Monte Carlo simulations, including worst-case loss scenarios, annual loss expectancy, and modeled large-loss events across multiple recurrence periods.
The offering also surfaces insights through loss-component breakdowns and evaluates whether current security controls are adequate relative to the organization’s exposure.
Partner perspectives on Squalify
KROSE, an industry insurance broker, has already seen the benefits from Squalify’s quantification services, particularly in enabling more tailored coverage recommendations for its clients.
“KROSE’s cyber insurance advisory is already among the best in the market. With Squalify, we give our clients an outstanding way to quantify cyber risks in financial terms and tailor their coverage even more precisely to their actual needs. Together with Squalify, we create additional value for our clients,” said Leopold Muhle, managing partner at KROSE.
Squalify also noted that Essential CRQ can serve as a natural on-ramp to Squalify Enterprise CRQ, its higher-tier offering.
Enterprise CRQ adds advanced capabilities such as identifying high-ROI security controls, running decision-impact simulations, and generating board-level management reporting.
