Rubrik Debuts New Capabilities With Microsoft

Security and AI operations company, Rubrik, recently announced two new capabilities in collaboration with Microsoft.

Operational resilience for Microsoft users

The two new capabilities that Rubrik is launching include the Rubrik Agent Cloud’s full integration with Microsoft Copilot Studio and the Rubrik Intelligent Business Recovery for Microsoft 365 (M365) and DevOps Protection for Azure DevOps and GitHub.

The two capabilities will help customers manage AI agents efficiently and recover swiftly from cyberattacks or major outages.

Rubrik Agent Cloud

By integrating the Rubrik Agent Cloud with Microsoft Copilot Studio, the capability will help organizations adopt agents at scale, enabling them to monitor, govern, and remediate to reduce risk.

By seamlessly integrating with Microsoft Copilot Studio, we equip our joint customers with the clarity and control they crave – without piling on complexity or chaos in their IT environments.”

Microsoft Copilot Studio enables organizations to build AI agents to automate tasks, access business data, and extend Microsoft 365 Copilot. Integrating Rubrik Agent Cloud will ensure Copilot users can manage agent access across Microsoft 365, including OneDrive and SharePoint.

Rubrik Agent Cloud automatically discovers, monitors, and protects new agents, enabling organizations to scale AI confidently while maintaining control and compliance.

The new agent management capabilities that Rubrik Agent Cloud introduces include:

• Agent Monitor: This management capability auto-discovers agents built on Microsoft 365, Copilot Studio, or custom, directly on Azure. It automatically discovers and maps active agents across Microsoft Copilot Studio and continuously monitors agent activity and data access with various logs, including Azure-native logs, and maintains immutable audit trails to capture context from data, identity, and applications.
• Agent Govern: This capability tracks agent usage, evaluates performance against prompts, and gives teams the tools to control destructive or undesired actions. It defines and enforces agent behavior, access, and action policies in real-time. It is also a centralized tool to provide integration with enterprise identity systems to help ensure secure, compliant, and controlled innovation. 
• Agent Remediate: Allows Copilot Studio users to instantly undo unwanted or destructive actions, without downtime or data loss. The capability provides selective rollback or agent-driven changes to ensure continuous protection for critical data and systems, and immutable recovery.

Rubrik Agent Cloud for Microsoft Copilot Studio is available for limited early access to select customers as part of Rubrik Agent Cloud.

Intelligent Business Recovery

The Rubrik Intelligent Business Recovery for M365 and Devops Protection for Azure DevOps and GitHub offerings will provide enterprises with intelligent, orchestrated recovery following a cyber incident or major outage. These services will enable backup and recovery, while helping organizations restore mission-critical functions for operational resilience.

Rubrik Intelligent Business Recovery for M365 provides customers with automated, business-aware recovery to restore critical users and their data across applications, including Microsoft Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams. It intelligently defines the recovery scope to enable business restoration and reduce downtime.

Rubrik Intelligent Business Recovery for M365 enables customers to do the following:

• Identify key users: Admins can define C-suite members, department heads, and other users that are critical for the company to function.
• Analyze critical workflows: The offering intelligently scans all M365 protected assets such as recent emails, files, SharePoint sites, Teams chats, and OneDrive folders, and finds the most critical data that is needed for the key users to operate.
• Automate minimal viable business (MVB) recovery: MVB brings minimum datasets and users to define the “viable company,” enabling critical teams to operate with all critical information immediately, while full recovery continues in the background.

Rubrik DevOps Protection

Rubrik DevOps Protection is designed to close critical gaps, providing a single, trusted platform to safeguard the entire software and AI development lifecycle. This ensures organizations don’t have to risk the loss, corruption, or temporary unavailability of valuable intellectual property and development pipelines.

Azure DevOps and GitHub customers will be able to trust that their secure code and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines are protected and preserved in addition to their core functions.

Rubrik DevOps Protection provides:

• Automated and unified protection: Protects Azure DevOps and GitHub repositories and pipelines with a single, policy-driven SLA engine.
• Air-gapped, immutable backups: Secures DevUps data in a logically separate location in a natively immutable format, making it invisible and indelible to attackers.
• Rapid, granular recovery: Instant incident recovery with flexible restores of individual repositories.
• Enterprise-grade security: Fortifies backups with critical security features, including Retention Lock, Quorum Authorization, and Role-Based Access Control.

This offering will be available in the coming months, according to Rubrik.
