Darktrace, an AI cybersecurity platform, has entered into a distribution agreement with SB C&S Corp to provide Darktrace’s ActiveAI Security Platform to companies in Japan, effective August 20, 2025.

AI security platform available to more partners through new agreement

The ActiveAI Security Platform incorporates an AI agent type, “Cyber AI Analyst,” that automates advanced investigations based on SOC 2 standards. The platform can perform 50,000 hours of analysis per year– providing the equivalent of 30 full-time employees. It enables security teams to rapidly scale their capabilities, augment human talent, and fill vital skills gaps.

“We are proud to announce a new distributor agreement with Darktrace, a leading company in the cybersecurity space, whose self-learning AI engine continuously assesses a customer’s entire IT environment and leverages that knowledge to detect, investigate, and even respond to threats autonomously,” said Hiroki Nagatani, Board Director, Executive Vice President Head of ICT Unit, SB C&S Corp. “SB C&S is committed to supporting enterprise DX through the use of Darktrace’s ActiveAI Security Platform, and will further contribute to strengthening the resilience of enterprises against increasingly sophisticated cyberattacks. In addition, together with our nationwide sales partners, we aim to provide further cybersecurity solutions that meet diversifying needs.”

The platform works for several industries, including financial and public sector organizations that need to boost their response to ransomware and internal fraud, as well as manufacturing and retail companies that want to prevent production stoppages and loss of brand image due to cyberattacks.

SB C&S adds zero-trust approach to AI

This agreement will work to strengthen SB C&S’s portfolio with Darktrace’s cybersecurity solutions. SB C&S will leverage its sales network of 15,000 companies to provide a single plugin for zero trust in the AI era. They will continue to support corporate security by providing Darktrace products.

Among the signature features of Darktrace are:

  • Autonomous learning and threat detection by AI: The ability to detect both known and zero-day attacks and insider fraud based on normal behavior unique to each company, eliminating dependence on tailored rules.
  • Rapid, automated response: Target communications are slowed or quarantined within seconds once a threat is detected to minimize damage without disrupting business operations.
  • AI-driven SOC 2 investigation of alerts: Automatic AI analysis of the cause and flow of attacks and summarizes them in an easy-to-understand manner, reducing investigation man-hours and false positives. This allows security analysts to respond quickly.
  • Support for a wide range of environments: Deployment of physical, virtual, and cloud sensors with a single license for on-prem cloud and hybrid environments. Additional investment is not necessary to deploy in mixed IT environments.
  • Easing the burden of security operations: Automated threat detection and response reduce the dependence of the SOC on constantly adjusting rules, contributing to a reduction in manpower and workload on the frontline.

“The threat landscape is rapidly evolving and organizations increasingly need AI-powered cybersecurity solutions to help them become more resilient and stay one-step ahead,” said Yoshimasa Tai, VP of Sales, Japan, Darktrace Japan K.K. “Working with SB C&S will help us protect more organizations, and their expertise will ensure customers receive the best possible Darktrace experience. Our partnership will make the challenge of delivering security operations easier for everyone from the Security Analyst to the CISO.”

Darktrace has continued to make waves in the channel through partnerships, including a recent one with Climb. Read more about the organization’s channel push from Danial Jaramillo, director of enterprise sales at Darktrace.
