ConnectSecure is giving managed service providers a way to turn eligible Microsoft 365 security findings into remediation actions while using AI to create employee security assessments.

M365 Auto Remediation targets eligible security findings

The vulnerability and compliance management company announced Tuesday that Microsoft 365 Auto Remediation and AI-powered Training Assessments are now available on its platform, expanding its tools for managed service providers.

The new capabilities are designed to help MSPs respond to security issues found in Microsoft 365 environments, track progress and strengthen security awareness without moving between separate tools.

“MSPs are under pressure to do more than point out problems. They need to help clients fix gaps, prove progress and build stronger security habits over time,” Peter Bellini, CEO of ConnectSecure, said in the company’s announcement.

The M365 Auto Remediation feature works with a subset of findings identified through ConnectSecure’s M365 Security Inspection. Supported issues can be addressed through conditional access policy enforcement or reporting.

MSPs can select eligible findings and decide whether a policy should be enabled or placed in report-only mode. They can also modify existing conditional access policies when needed.

Patch 360 adds patch management to the platform

ConnectSecure also said Patch 360, its previously announced patch management capability, is now available on the platform.

The tool includes pilot-first validation, risk-based prioritization, staged rollouts, approval workflows, lifecycle visibility and integrated rollback, giving MSPs more control over how software updates are deployed.

AI-assisted assessments expand security training

ConnectSecure is also adding AI-assisted tools for creating and distributing training assessments.

MSPs can generate assessments from a topic, pasted text, uploaded content or templates. They can then review and edit the AI-generated questions, answers and explanations before publishing them. The feature gives administrators control over settings such as the number of questions, difficulty, time limits, expiration dates, maximum attempts, passing scores and question formats.

Once an assessment is published, MSPs can assign it to client companies or distribute it through links. Analytics provide visibility into company performance, pass rates and individual question results.

The assessments can be used for compliance programs, employee onboarding, third-party due diligence and security awareness training.

“Security programs are strongest when remediation and education work together. These updates help MSPs operationalize both sides of that equation. They can address Microsoft 365 configuration risks more directly and measure whether users understand the practices that support a stronger security posture,” said Srividya Jagannathan, senior vice president of engineering at ConnectSecure.

The Training Assessments module also supports multiple languages, which ConnectSecure said is intended to make security training more accessible to diverse workforces.

ConnectSecure broadens its MSP security workflow

The company said the combination of M365 Auto Remediation, Training Assessments and Patch 360 expands its platform beyond simply identifying security problems.

The broader strategy is to give MSPs tools to move from finding risks to taking action across Microsoft 365 configuration, employee training and software patching.
