Blumira, a provider of security operations solutions for growing IT teams and MSPs, has launched SOC Auto-Focus and also announced updates to its MSP partner program designed to streamline operations and strengthen client support capabilities.

AI-assisted investigations for faster response

SOC Auto-Focus is positioned as an aid for under-resourced IT administrators and security teams seeking to reduce alert fatigue and accelerate incident response. Rather than automating decision-making, the tool augments human analysis by providing immediate context, clear prioritization, and guided response workflows.

“The security industry has been promising AI solutions that replace human judgment, but that’s not what teams actually need,” said Matt Warner, CEO of Blumira. “SOC Auto-Focus delivers something more valuable: the context and expertise to make better decisions faster. It’s about amplifying human intelligence, not replacing it.”

According to Blumira, the platform requires no extensive training period and begins delivering results immediately after deployment. The system leverages Blumira’s existing library of expert-built detection and response playbooks to generate tailored, environment-aware recommendations rather than more generic, algorithmic assessments.

Contextual intelligence for security teams

SOC Auto-Focus is built to simplify threat investigation by turning technical alerts into clear, actionable insights. The solution provides:

  • Instant context with plain-language summaries explaining the significance of security events
  • Clear prioritization through criticality levels, response timeframes, and confidence ratings
  • Guided response workflows with detailed investigation and remediation steps created by security professionals
  • In-the-moment education that helps build team knowledge with each finding

For security analysts, these capabilities can translate into measurable improvements such as reduced mean time to respond (MTTR), higher remediation rates, and fewer repeat incidents. Travis Short, a SOC analyst at NineStar Connect, said the tool “bridges the knowledge gap instantly,” saving time previously spent researching alerts manually.

“Auto-Focus translates technical alerts into plain language summaries and points me directly to the impact,” said Short in a press statement. “It bridges the knowledge gap instantly, saving me from spending time digging through logs or Googling for answers.”

MSP-focused program updates also announced

Alongside the product launch, Blumira announced enhancements to its MSP partner program to support scalability and simplify client management. The updates include expanded multi-tenant management tools, faster onboarding for new client environments, and improved reporting features designed to help MSPs meet compliance requirements more efficiently.

Blumira positions itself as a security operations platform focused on making enterprise-grade protection accessible to organizations of all sizes. The platform integrates automated detection, guided response, and 24/7 support to lower the technical and staffing barriers associated with security operations. Those barriers impact lean IT teams and can hinder the potential for MSPs to tap into opportunities tied to security concerns.

AutoSoc and the program changes aim to enhance Blumira’s perception among channel partners in a crowded marketplace.
