Barracuda Networks has introduced a series of enhancements to its BarracudaONE platform, aimed at helping MSPs improve security operations, streamline management, and drive business growth. The updates include bulk remediation for email threats, new professional services automation (PSA) integrations for billing, and expanded account management features.

Enhancements for faster response and simplified management across customers

One of the most notable additions is bulk remediation for email threats. With this new feature, MSPs using Barracuda Email Protection can remove malicious emails across all customer environments simultaneously, cutting response times by up to tenfold, according to Barracuda. The capability is designed to reduce threat exposure and streamline the containment process, giving MSPs a faster and more consistent way to secure client environments.

“These new capabilities underscore Barracuda’s unwavering commitment to helping MSPs scale securely, respond to threats faster and operate with greater agility,” said Michelle Hodges, senior vice president of global channels and alliances at Barracuda. “Aligned with our partner-first mission, we’re equipping MSPs with the tools they need to grow their businesses and deliver exceptional protection to their customers. By embedding automation and intelligence into daily workflows, we’re enabling our partners to achieve stronger, more profitable outcomes — with greater speed, precision and impact.”

PSA integrations bolster connections with popular MSP tools

The BarracudaONE platform now integrates with six major PSA tools:

  • Autotask by Datto
  • ConnectWise PSA
  • HaloPSA
  • Kaseya BMS
  • Pulseway PSA
  • Syncro

These integrations automate billing and invoicing, reducing manual entry and potential errors while accelerating revenue cycles. Barracuda said the open design of its platform allows MSPs to maintain their existing workflows while gaining new operational efficiencies and improving billing accuracy.

A unified platform for scalable security

BarracudaONE serves as a centralized management console for MSPs, unifying multiple Barracuda solutions such as Email Protection and Cloud-to-Cloud Backup under one dashboard. The platform incorporates automation, natural language queries, and intelligent reporting to streamline operations and enhance visibility across customer environments.

Integration with the Barracuda MSP application further simplifies account and license management, enabling partners to perform key administrative and security functions without switching between tools. These latest upgrades are available at no additional cost to partners, reinforcing Barracuda’s goal of offering a comprehensive, integrated security platform for MSPs.

We have covered Barracuda’s platform several times throughout the year, including in conversations with Hodges and other leaders. Barracuda has emphasized the importance of meeting the needs of its channel partners in every new release.

“We provide a purpose-built platform for MSPs and build with the intention of helping partners run their businesses more efficiently,” Hodges told us at ChannelCon in July. “We know MSPs need help consolidating tools, accessing data, and being cost-effective as they keep customers secure. That’s what we work toward every day.”

Partner feedback shows demand for visibility and automation within managed services offerings

Barracuda shared early feedback from a few partners in announcing the enhancements today. These statements mirror what we have heard from partners this year: reducing risk for clients is just as important as factors like time management and multi-tenant visibility for MSPs facing various security challenges.

“As an MSP managing many diverse customer environments, the new bulk remediation capability is a true game-changer. Email threats rarely stay confined – they often span across environments. With the ability to instantly remove those threats across all accounts, we save critical time and dramatically reduce risk,” said Scott Coates, manager of IT services at Servicad. “BarracudaONE provides complete visibility across every environment, making it simple to detect account takeover attempts, identify configuration gaps and uncover upsell opportunities – ensuring nothing falls through the cracks. These advancements deliver tremendous added value for our team and, most importantly, for our customers.”

“Barracuda’s focus on innovation and product quality really appealed to us as an MSP. The latest enhancements to BarracudaONE will help us to scale faster, respond more effectively and deliver more robust protection to our customers,” said Andrew James, managing director at Shield Cyber Security. “BarracudaONE adds significant value to our managed services offering as we can do more, quickly and efficiently to protect our clients.”
