Global security technology company Sophos has integrated its endpoint protection with all Taegis Managed Detection and Response (MDR) and Extended Detection and Response (XDR) subscriptions. The company stated that the inclusion comes at no additional charge and is available to both new and existing Taegis customers.

The move arrives after Sophos completed its acquisition of Secureworks last February, bringing the Taegis platform under Sophos’ ownership.

Sophos framed the change as part of a broader effort to bring prevention, detection, and response under a single platform.

What’s changing for customers

Sophos says telemetry from its endpoint solution now flows directly into the Taegis console. Analysts can view activity across endpoints and network devices in a single interface, which allows them to identify patterns and prioritize threats.

Live Response functionality enables teams to terminate processes, reboot devices, delete files, and perform other response actions directly from the console.

The company notes that organizations can choose between three deployment options for endpoint protection:

  • Sophos Endpoint: This option uses a single, native agent for comprehensive prevention, detection, and response.
  • Non-Sophos Native Integrations: You can ingest telemetry from other products like CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, SentinelOne, and Carbon Black by Broadcom to ensure full visibility.
  • Other Non-Sophos Endpoint Security Solutions: For these, a detection-only sensor deployment option is supported.

Unified partner experience

The company states that Sophos Endpoint is now available immediately for all existing and new Taegis MDR and XDR subscriptions. Organizations can adopt the integrated solution while retaining their current detection workflows and endpoint configurations.

For partners, the bundled approach changes how Taegis is positioned and sold. It removes the need for a separate endpoint license for organizations that adopt it, as well as simplifying procurement and reducing administrative overhead.

Prior Channel Insider reporting has tracked growing MDR opportunities for resellers and MSPs in Sophos’ ecosystem. The integration could simplify renewals and new deals for buyers who want to consolidate tooling, while allowing customers who prefer mixed environments to retain their existing endpoints.
