Data management, cybersecurity, and platform modernization leader Quest Software recently announced a new company strategy accompanied by a unified, seamless, and automated data management platform designed to accelerate customers’ AI success.
The Quest erwin Data Management Platform features unified AI-enabled capabilities for a seamless experience, enabling enterprises and public sector organizations to improve data accuracy and create trusted data products 54 percent faster than before.
The fully integrated platform automates steps for creating trusted data products with dynamic trust scoring for use and reuse in the data marketplace.
“AI is driving the need for a dramatically new approach to data management,” said Tim Page, CEO of Quest Software. “Working closely with our customers, including more than 90 percent of the Fortune 500, has given us deep insights into their challenges and requirements. The erwin Data Management Platform is the first-of-its-kind to deliver improved data accuracy and faster time to data product delivery to the marketplace—a game-changer for our customers.”
Meanwhile, Quest’s new company strategy will be based on three customer priorities to achieve AI success:
- Delivering the platform for trusted AI-ready data at scale and speed. Quest’s new erwin Data Management Platform will enable enterprises to improve data accuracy and create trusted data products faster, uniquely meeting the scale and speed required for AI success.
- AI-powered cybersecurity and resilience. Protecting critical identity assets across Active Directory and Entra ID, delivering resilience throughout the attack lifecycle, and automating ransomware recovery 90 percent faster.
- Modernized platforms through migration for AI readiness and success. Quest’s two decades long partnership with Microsoft has helped organizations migrate and modernize identities, workloads, and devices quickly and reliably. Quest is the first company to achieve Microsoft 365 Certification for its migration capabilities.
Channel Insider was able to catch up with Quest’s Chief Channel Officer Maureen Perrelli to talk about what the new platform and strategy means for partners. Perrelli is among several new leadership appointments that Quest made back in August to drive growth through customer-focused execution, AI innovation, and operational excellence. Joining Perrelli, who was named Chief Channel Officer to lead Quest’s global channel strategy, are Ashish Joshi as President & CFO and John Bertero as SVP & Chief Revenue Officer.
Perrelli said that a key driver for the new strategy from Quest is the result of listening to their customers and how the organization can assist partners.
“We enable customers to unlock their own structure and unstructured data to make it relevant for business so they can see that data, they can understand what’s there, and they can see what bad actors might be in or out of that space,” she said. “Because companies are dealing with fragmented, siloed, and underused data with niche and—quite frankly—ineffective data management tools that weren’t designed to meet the critical needs of AI and today that trusted data at speed and scale.
“The new Quest erwin platform leverages GenAI to deliver operational simplicity through automation, unifying data management capabilities such as data quality or data modeling, metadata management, and data governance,” Perelli said.
Quest is creating trusted data products through that single platform. Customers using the erwin Data Management Platform will receive immediate benefits such as improved data accuracy and trusted data products, enabling a faster time-to-market and improving productivity in a secure environment.
Perrelli highlighted the importance of channel partners and how essential they are to Quest’s growth.
“It doesn’t happen without them,” she said. “As we evolve our strategy, it’s not just about selling software, it’s about enabling partners to thrive on our platform. Partners are a key strategy for the company.”
Quest is working to expand its go-to-market strategy with a focus on its partner ecosystem to better support customers on a global scale. Perrelli emphasizes that Quest is investing in their ecosystem with tools enablement and co-selling to ensure partners win with them.
