Recently, Microsoft announced a collaboration with Huntress, an enterprise-grade cybersecurity solution, to improve cybersecurity for businesses of all sizes and combat modern threats.

Huntress’ purpose-built cybersecurity solutions will seamlessly integrate into Microsoft environments to unlock protection for endpoints, identities, and employees.

Unlocking potential use cases within the Microsoft security ecosystem

According to Huntress, more than 300 million organizations depend on Microsoft’s ecosystem, but don’t always have the resources to unlock the full potential of Microsoft security tools available through Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Business and Defender AV, Microsoft 365 Business Premium, E3, and E5 licensing.

“Huntress was founded to make enterprise-grade security accessible to all businesses,” said Chris Bisnett, CTO at Huntress. “Businesses worldwide trust Microsoft’s ecosystem, but often don’t fully use its potential due to limited resources or expertise. We deliver the technology and integrations needed to unlock the full value of Microsoft’s security solutions, empowering businesses of all sizes to operate securely and confidently in an evolving threat landscape.”

Huntress’ suite of solutions includes Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), and Security Awareness Training (SAT). It is continuously reinforced by a 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC).

“With cyberattacks growing in both volume and complexity, businesses face mounting pressure to protect their environments with limited resources,” said Steve Dispensa, CVP of security at  Microsoft. “Huntress’ integrations with Microsoft 365 Business Premium and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint empower organizations to not only strengthen their security posture, but also fully benefit from their Microsoft security investments. Together, we’re equipping businesses worldwide to prioritize growth and innovation without compromising on security.”

Huntress as a Microsoft partner

Huntress works to ensure that organizations of all sizes optimize their Microsoft security tools by leveraging their Managed EDR and ITDR solutions.

The organization works with Microsoft to enable deeper integration with Microsoft Defender and Entra. The partnership allows Huntress to detect and respond to threats more quickly, effectively, and accurately.

The 24/7 SOC provides continuous monitoring and investigates incidents to deliver easy-to-understand alerts and timely responses.

In November 2024, Huntress launched an integration with Microsoft Defender for Business and was recognized as a Microsoft-verified small- and medium-sized business (SMB) solution.

Achieving this status through the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA) means that Huntress has demonstrated that its solution is purpose-built for the needs of MSPs and their SMB customers and is integrated with Microsoft security technology, including Microsoft Defender for Business.

Huntress enables both internal and outsourced IT teams to build robust defenses, enhance their cybersecurity knowledge, and safeguard their livelihoods.

“We are excited to collaborate with Microsoft to protect our joint customers and multiply the value of their existing investments,” said Odin Olson, VP of business development at Huntress.
