Dell Services announced a line of services and solutions designed to
help enterprise customers achieve the benefits of mobile collaboration,
computing and communications enhanced business processes. The new
Enterprise Mobility Services comprise a portfolio of enterprise scale
end-to-end solutions that encompass hardware, software, communications
technologies and services, and back-end data center infrastructure and
storage to support multi-carrier, multi-vendor mobile devices and
operating systems.

The Enterprise Mobility Services portfolio includes services to
establish an enterprise mobile strategy and is comprised of business
consulting, tools, scenario assessment and cost benefit analysis, as
well as implementation services for mobilization of workflows, business
processes, mobile application development, end-to-end security, and
networking.

“The rapid adoption of smartphone and tablet technology is changing how
enterprises do business in ways we never thought possible and challenge
enterprises on how to best utilize mobility without compromising
security,” said Steve Schuckenbrock, president of Dell Services.
“Enterprise Mobility Services alleviates these concerns and allows our
customers to strategically map out how best to use mobile technology.”

Secure mobile lifecycle management services including provisioning,
compliance, policy enforcement, asset management, application
management, performance monitoring and usage, while the Telecom Expense
Management service provides an end-to-end industry best practice
approach to management of voice, data, wireless, international roaming,
and VoIP spend.

In addition, the Dell Mobility Application Platform (DMAP) is designed
to mobilize business applications and processes across any user, device
and location, on any network or mobile device platform, while secure
mobile enterprise solutions for customers on both personal and
corporate devices deliver virtual and secure access to enterprise
applications from any device.

“As the complexity and challenge of managing a wider variety of mobile
devices on multiple systems rises, we will deliver a mobile solution
that is secure, manageable, scalable, and open in support of our
customers,” added Mary Chan, vice president of Dell Enterprise Mobile
Solutions.

She explained although more people will be using personal or
employer-issued mobile devices for work, no single operating system or
platform is likely to dominate the market. “Enterprise Mobility
Services is designed to deliver all the benefits of mobility without
limiting end-user choice by delivering solutions that are secure,
manageable, scalable and open to all mobile operating systems,” Chan
said.
